I'm a professional web developer specializing in Pinnacle Cart. Mr. Bohanski contacted me almost 2 months ago needing urgent help. It seems he had moved some of his clients to a new server, but now all of their sites were down and he didn't know how to fix them. This had apparently been going on for days, so he was desparate. I called him and he explained the situation, and I agreed to investigate and fix if possible. It turns out there were a number of basic configuration issues that anyone who knows how to develop a web site would have been able to fix, but clearly Mr. Bohanski did not. We managed to fix the Pinnacle Cart sites in a few hours, and spent about 2 hours on the phone with him resolving other issues.
One site that we were not able to quickly fix was one that was running a very old version of Joomla, which was not compatible with the software on the new server he moved them to (something he should have checked BEFORE moving it). It required an upgrade to Joomla to fix, which was not an easy task, but he agreed to pay us to do so. All told, we racked up about 10 hours of time, or $1050.
To date, we have not been paid. Had I researched Mr. Bohanski prior to agreeing to help him, I would have discovered this is what he does - hires people to do work that he can not, and then never pays them. Lots of promises and excuses (I'm a little short on cash, the client hasn't paid me yet, etc) but no money. We weren't hired by his clients, and if he didn't have the money he shouldn't have hired us to begin with.
To any developers or designers who he contacts, DO NOT AGREE to help him, no matter what he promises you. To any potential clients of his, DO NOT hire him, as he clearly does not understand server management or e-commerce and you risk your site being offline for days like his current clients' sites were.
We have passed this matter on to our collection agency, but I wanted to put this out there as a warning to other developers and e-commerce store owners. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH TECH VALLEY GRAPHICS.
