My vehicle was part of the Toyota frame recall. I took my 2005 Toyota Tacoma in for the recall. I dropped it off on 12/2/2014 and I was given a rental vehicle and told it would take 3-5 weeks for the repair. Everything seemed to be going fine.
After 2 months, I called and complained to Toyota and Toyota Motor Cars USA. Nobody cared about my complaints about not having my truck ready and nobody helped to expidite the process. I was also told other items of the vehicle needed replacement that was not covered by the recall which was also suspicious.
Finally after 4 months of fighting, numerous calls, blah, blah, blah, I was given a call and went to pick up my truck. Just over 4 months it got completed. I cleaned out my rental vehicle and turned it in. I was told I would be responsible for the scratches to the rental vehicle and Toyota filed an insurance claim against me. I blew a gasket and said that they took my work truck away from me and needed to use it for work, it was their fault I did not have my truck in the first place with the recall.
To sum up, an insurance claim is already filed vs me, I lost time, money, and business by having my wrapped business truck gone for 4 months, and I was treated like a jerk by the service department, the rental department, and Toyota Motor sales. They have screwed me over in my opinion. I will never buy a Toyota again, never go to Team Toyota Langhorne for any service and I never want to deal with Toyota again. I recommend you go somewhere else that will treat you like a valued customer as well...
