I financed my furniture from Rooms To Go and my account was sent to TD Bank. Since that time, I have had nothing but negative experiences with this company.
I gave them my routing number and checking account number so that the appropriate fee could be deducted before the date that it was due. Since I have had issues in the past with them, (I forgot to pay my bill one month because I changed addresses, but made up for it by paying four times the minimum payment) I wanted to ensure that my payment was received. Mind you, I sent them a payment in January 2015 and they were able to receive that payment with the information that I had given them, but nonetheless I wanted to make sure.
So, for the February payment, I submitted an online inquiry to ask if the payment was received and was told that it should clear my account in 1-2 business days. I waited SEVEN days. On the seventh day, I called to ask why the payment had not been deducted from my checking account and wanted to make sure they had received their money.
I was told by the customer service representative that everything looked good on their end and I just needed to call my bank. I called my bank, which had no activity.
Now, two days later and two seperate inquiries later, I get my statement that indicates they never received my payment so now I have and insufficient fee charge and my next payment is double what it should be. I called the customer service department once more and after not being able to settle this with the rep, I asked to speak to their manager. The manager said unfortunately there is nothing they can do, even though they can see in their system that I inquired about this payment TWICE, to which they ensured me that everything was okay.
Not only did I spend 45 minutes on the phone with a man that I could barely understand, I still did not get my isseue resolved. This company is unprofessional and dishonest. I would definitely NOT reccommend them for any financing.
