Bought my used car in Jan of this year, dealer convinced me because it's a 2007 that I should get the "extended warranty" from this Superior warranty Company, they incorporated the $1900.00 into my car payment so I stupidly went for it.
the other day after driving my gf took my car for a 2 min ride to the Walgrens, when she goes to leave try's to start the car and it sounds like a lot of noise in engine so she calls and I go up, call triple A and while waiting I go to my glovebox and grab my extended warranty, it clearly says to have vehicle towed, ok I'm doing that, says make sure veh has oil changes, ok I've done that and even have the recipes so ok I'm golden. I call the warranty company and they say no problem and tell me where in NJ to take it.
I have it towed there and they do a diagnostic test, codes showing for something with the 6th cylinder, so the garage suggest I take it to a Dodge dealer, I stop and they outright refuse to even look at the warranty from this company and basically tells me good luck with them.
I leave and call the warranty company who suggest I take it to another place Aamco that they deal with nationwide, so I take it there so they can again diagnose it,they call me next day and tell me same thing and that they had called the warranty company who authorized them to tear the motor down to the point of failure.
Yesterday I get a call from the garage and they say motor shot, and that they notified the warranty company who is sending down one of their "so called experts". They called me this morning to tell me that Superiory after being dis told them they were not fixing it, that they don't cover what went wrong. I asked them what the tech guy said, he said guy walked in with a preconceived notion of what was wrong, literally spent 3-5 min and said ok I'm outta here.
After speaking to my mechanic I called the warranty company and being disconnected 3 times I got through, he says nope it's not covered can I help you with anything else, I say ummmm no I'm not done with what I called about, he again said it's not covered and hung up on me. Yep HUNG UP on me. I called a few more times go a major bulls*runaround and basically told to get on line with all the other unhappy customers who don't read their warrants.
My mechanic said it was a catastrophic failure in the engine, he called them and they told him it's now between the warranty company and the customer, not to call them agin in referance to this matter and hung up on him.
This company is the worst and after I pay to replace the engine in my car I will hopefully be speaking to an attorney and see what he says, thanks for letting me vent.
