Besides to the Porsche Cayenne GTS I have acquired in 2013 I’ve recently purchased an additional new 2014 Audi Q7 TDI at
Suncoast Motorsport
5005 South Tamiami Trail
Sarasota, FL 34231
After driving the car for about 6k miles I recognized a slight shift to the right when I let the steering wheel go.
After a certain time it was getting that excessive that I had to steer more and more to the left to keep the car on its lane. At the first scheduled inspection at Suncoast Motorsport (Audi) I received the notice that my car has an alignment issue and needs to be fixed immediately including the replacement of the front tires (which were worn to no tread on outer edges within just four months after purchase (-2.0)), which they would invoice with $5,098.00 (+ tax.). However, I talked to the Service Personnel, which were simply rude and unfriendly when I said that such maintenance is actually a warranty issue and that I'm not willing to pay for such an amount, especially if that car is brand new and was just recently purchased. At this point they lowered the price to $2,958.00 (+ tax.) and released the alignment charge but not the tires.
After days of "nasty" conversations with the Service Manager of said Audi Facility, they finally accepted the costs and promised to take care of the issue ASAP. I got a loaner’s car for two weeks and received the "apparently" fixed car within the allotted time frame. A few days later I realized the same exact issue again while driving on the highway and notified Suncoast Motorsport repeatedly. This time I became clearer with the issue and told the Service personnel via phone that I will drop off my car again and want the problem solved immediately. At this point the employee said that they wouldn't be responsible for such issue and I should call Audi's headquarter for further assistance and hung-up the phone. I called again and the secretary immediately hung-up again when she realized that she is still dealing with the same customer and the same issue. I re-dialed again and asked for the Manager and she yelled: "he wouldn't be in the house" and again - hung-up.
The fourth attempt I was upset (respectively to the situation and the BAD customer service, especially when that customer bought two cars within one year in the total amount of $120,083.59, CASH within 30 minutes and without any negotiation), the receptionist finally transferred my call to the General Manager (remember, who was apparently not there?!). He said that those alignment issues come up all the time when someone drives through a bump on the street, etc. and I thought he was kidding. So I said, "you want to tell me, that every time I drive through a bump on the street I have to get my car re-aligned?" And he acknowledged with "yes, sir!"
I told him that I would like to drop off my car now to get it re-aligned and would like to use my warranty rights, before the tires are worn off again. He immediately responded with “NO” and that I need to call Audi and that their dealership wouldn't be responsible for such repair work, and again, hung-up on me.
At this point I realized that I have to take legal actions against Suncoast Motorsport and contracted an Attorney to return the entire car based on the criteria’s listed in the Lemon Law, which provides remedy for purchasers of cars in order to compensate for products that repeatedly fail to meet standards of quality and performance.
When I researched Google I found out that said dealer had already two similar reviews in which the GM treated the customer the same way (ref. BBB & Ripoffreport).
I am originally from Stuttgart, Germany and a friend of Dr. Martin Winterkorn, who is the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Audi and Porsche Automobile Holing SE. He will receive a notice of this complaint as well!
