During the cold spell in February the battery died in my 2013 Wrangler. Put the battery charger on it and it wouldn't take a charge. Took the 5yr old battery out of my summer car and dropped it in. Ran fine ever since. The original battery was under warranty, so I called Brandon M. at Summit Dodge to confirm (27k mi). They initially wanted me to put the bad battery back in the Jeep and have it towed in under my roadside assistance. I convinced them to let me drive it in with the bad battery on the floor of the Jeep.
Well I got a call back that they found my aftermarket remote started after an hour of diagnostics. My warranty was voided and I needed to pay them $103 for their time to NOT fix anything. Service Manager, Jason Bagozzi, told me the "bottom line" was that I needed to pay for their time if I wanted my Jeep back. (Oh, they never touched the dead battery in the back of the Jeep).
So I had to pay them to get my Jeep back and not fix it.
