I signed a contract with Summerwind Solar through Clean Power Finance CPF for a lease for a solar system for my home. I really didnt want to sign and was put under immense pressure but finally gave in after the sales person promised me $2000 cash rebate after the system was installed. Given that this was a zero down product I thought the $2000 cash made it worth while especially with the so called utility savings I was going to get from the system. What a terrible mistake this was, the worst mistake I have ever made in my life is dealing with this company that unbeknowns to me was run by known con men Bill Roush Jnr and Bud Rice.
After the panels were placed on the roof in 3-4 months later, Summerwind Solar's contractors license was revoked due to fraudulent activity. This meant that my system was unable to be commissioned and operate. I was promised by Summerwind Solar that this problem would be resolved and sorted within a week to 2 weeks but yet 2 months later the contractors license still had not been resolved and just when I thought things could not get any worse, I was contacted by the installation company tol advise me that they were putting a lein on my property becuase Summerwind Solar had not paid there bill for installation work done and the installation company was about to sue for the amounts oweing.
After many calls to Summerwind and sent on a rollercoaster ride with constantly being passed from one person to the next as nobody wanted to hear about my problem I was finally put in contact with the owner Bill Roush Jnr who told me that his partner Bud Rice does the payments and is the money man of the company but to rest assure he will make sure the problem get dealt with. After 2 months of countless phone calls and persistence from me the invoice to the installers was finally paid and the lein was withdrawn. Just as If my experience could not get any worse, another 6 months went by waiting for Summerwinds contractors license to come through and now my system has finally been comissioned however now came by biggest challenge, getting paid the $2000 that was due to me.
After the nonsense that I was put through as a consumer and the countless man hours I have put into this disaster, the fight to this day is not over. Bill Roush will not take my calls and nobody is prepared to help me at Summerwind. These people and there fraudulent actions have damaged my perosnal life and affected my family. I dont know what to do but the worst thing is that every time I pull into my driveway I have to look at these panel on my roof that daily remind me of the fact that I have been ripped off by con men Bill Roush and Bud Rice.
