Early December 2014 I was looking for a Honda and I called Stevenson Honda to see if I would qualify for a car. I spoke to Caleb who was my salesperson and he took alll of my information. I spoke to him again on 12-15-14 and he told me that I would need a Co-Signer and they had a program in place to help me get financed. I traveled to the dealership which was about a 50 mins drive and he took me on a test ride in a Maroon 2010 Honda Accord. I like the car and my Co-Signer provider her check stubs and employment information that night. He told me I would have to return the next day to pick up the car after they checked everything out.
I returned on 12-17-14 and completed the paperwork for the 2010 Honda and the dealership gave me the keys and I drove home. On 01-12-15 almost a month later I receieved a call from Caleb, mys saleman who told me that I needed to return the car due to there being an issue with my Co_signer???? I asked him was he serious and why did he take so long to reveal this to me when they gave me the keys on 12-17-14 and congratulated me on a complete sale?? He never addressed why it took them so long to check the paperwork or even check it before they gave me the keys.
On 01-13-15 I received another call from a man by the name of "Tim" he was very abrupt and curt with me on the phone and told me he needed the car back becasue they have an audit coming up that week. I told him I needed transportation to and from work and the audit was not my problem since and rushing me to do something was unfair since I was under the impression that this car deal was final when they gave me the keys!!!! He never addressed why the paperwork was incomplete at all. He started talking baout my Co-Signer and said she was not permanent on her job, which that is a lie!!! If was wasnt they should have addressed that before giving me the keys to the car.
On 01-14-15 another man called and said I needed to find another Co-Signer and I did and the papaerwork was processed the same day. The dealership called me on 01-15-15 and said that one was not going to work and they needed the car immediately. Again I reminded them that if they had processed the paperwork in the proper manner we would not be in this situation today. The gentleman was very short and abrasive in his tone toward me again.
I spoke to Caleb again on 01-17-15 and told him to come and get the car because I feel I have been severely mistreated as far as this business deal. He stated he would send someone to get it on Monday (MLK Jr. Day) No one came or called me at all. I left several message that day for him. They came the next afternoon and pick up the car.
Also in the beginning I made a referral to them for a customer who was looking car. The customer came in about a few days after me and she purchased a car! Stevenson Honda as of today has not sent me a referral check llike they promised and I spoke to them about it and still I have not received it!!!! They are very shady and unprofessional in their business practices. No one has apoligized or even stated they wanted my business whatsoever!
