We paid in full for 3 direct mail orders and they were never sent. Company wouldn't send proof. Later confirmed scam when subbed out printer company contacted us to see what to do about the mailers in their warehouse (while also sharing how bad Stellar Concepts ripped them off).
I have talked to three lawyers about my situation, and even though I’m about $9000 deep and have a trail of emails to back my claims, it’s just not enough to warrant litigation. As a result, I’ve decided to post my experience online and file a report with the attorney general because that’s all I can do at this point unfortunately.
Because not everyone will have time to read the whole story, here is the summary: I started doing business with them in August 2013 and had no major issues until I decided to switch all my direct mail orders to them and sent 3 orders at once (this was April 2014). I had them print and mail 5,000 pieces to PA, 7,500 pieces to MO, and 15,000 pieces to WI and NO ONE GOT ANY CALLS. I was told by Chris that all three orders were lost or damaged by the post office, but NO PROOF of any kind was given that these mailers were given to the post office after numerous requests. They supposedly reshipped the PA and MO orders, but still got NO CALLS (I confirmed with a tracking/forwarding phone number), when my clients typically get 12 calls average on this size order. Keep in mind I also had my clients on each of these mailing lists and they never got their piece either.
Before I did any business, I brought up the bad reviews on BBB and Yellow Pages, but they were old reviews and Chris Myers assured me that since the business was taken over and the client had their money refunded. I wasn’t given this opportunity when I requested a refund for the 15,000 pieces to WI (which wasn't supposedly resent) since re-mailing the PA and MO orders didn’t do anything. They should give me a refund for all three! I paid in full via a combination of check (for postage) and credit card (for printing and handling).
To keep my clients happy, I’ve reshipped these orders on my own dime with another mail house and they all got the right amount of calls (albeit it was incredibly hard working these accounts during the 4-5 week period of waiting when we were all totally in the dark on what was really going on).
Later I was contacted by the printing company that was subbed out to do their printing and mailing service for them (note that Chris said they do everything in house and handle big clients like the YMCA). They wanted to know what to do with the 27,500 mail pieces sitting in their warehouse. Turns out Stellar Concepts owes them tens of thousands of dollars. Combined with Stellar Concepts offering absolutely no proof that any of the mailers were sent and the night-and-day difference in calls with another mail house, I now know for a fact that they conned me as much as they could without having to worry about going to court. This was a massive loss for our company.
