I am a small business owner and long-time resident here in Portland. I build small prototypes and need specific hardware to build these up for trials.
I find myself continually "shadowed" in this store, being followed and asked more than normal if I need help.
Last Sunday evening a short man with glasses and earpiece (security?) approached me. This person did not identify himself, wore no vest or name tag. In an unfriendly tone wanted to know what he can do for me.
I was taken aback by this, and responded simly no, just shopping, if that is all right.
This is a terrible way to do business. I did call them back, saying this stranger approached me last Sunday.
The clerk replied: "That must have been Mike, the owner." I spoke to him briefly stating that I am a small business owner (24 years), and your approach of constantly following customers around is no way to do business.
