I am writing a report not just for myself but every previous, current and future SPRINT customers who like me made a bad deal thinking it was a good decision with a DISHONEST CHEATING company.
I, like others was under the impression that everything I was told and everything I agreed to was in my best "interest". Gram(Sprint employee) actually told me that while he stole a $100 dollars right in front of me.
On September 21,2014 I went into A local Target store to start a new phone contract with Sprint. To start service I had to pay a $100 dollar deposit and the cost for two Galaxy S 4 phones. The problem started when Gram told me the deposit money had to be paid with a credit or debit card.
I informed him that my husband had our card and was at work at the time. I was then told to get a prepaid card for the deposit amount, so I put $120 dollars on a card. When I tried to activate it to use the funds for Sprint the system said it would take a minimum of 30minutes to 1hour to be able to use the new card.
After I got of the phone I told Gram I would have to come back in a bit. That's when he told me to give him the cash for the deposit and he would just use his own bank account card. I gave him my money and he acted as if he was putting the deposit money on my Sprint account.
When I returned home I found out that Gram had NOT add the $100 dollars to my account he showed me the contract in getting would be $50 a month after the 1st bill of $130 dollars because $80 dollars of it was activation charges which he said was a one time fee and that was the highest it could and would ever be.
With all that said I have had the phones for 40days and have paid $387 dollars with a current pay now amount of $261 dollars. Sprint has shut our phones off 3times already and want the$261 dollars more. That means Sprint has charged me a total of $641 dollars for the first month of service.
I would like to announce that after 14years of employment Gram has been fired. Security officer from TARGET called me to let me know he is on camera taking the money while he was setting up my SPRINT service contract.
However, Even with the proof of theft and fraud Sprint acknowledged my account was compromised from the day I started service with them. They will not help me, credit my account or refund the phones to make a clean break. They blew my mind when I was informed if I do cancel my service early they will charge me $600 dollars. I realized they don't care if they lie and cheat even when they admit guilt or wrong doing on their part it's just one little person complaining she or he can't do anything about it. That's what needs to change, they can't keep doing this to hard working people.
