Well...after being a member of Soma for a year (and my husband being a member for over a year) I went into Soma to request to freeze my membership in November of 2013 and to guarantee that my contract expired in February 2014 and that it was set to end. Just NOW in April of 2015 I am seeing that they are now charging my credit card again.
When I reached out to explain that I came in and personally froze my account and made sure my contract would expire (I can no longer exercise due to several serious autoimmune issues that i'm currently being treated for) I was told that I never signed the right paperwork (how was I supposed to know this?). I was told repeatedly that my contract ended at the end of February and that there was nothing more I needed to do. So over a year later I find that I have apparently been paying them monthly for 14 months after my contract expired. Of course, they have responded that I needed to come in in person (which I did in Nov 2013) and sign something indicating that my contract was ending (which I was told by the woman I spoke to in 2013 that I did). I'm not sure if they lost the paperwork or if I wasn't given the correct thing to sign but they've charged me over $1,000 without permission and are refusing to refund my money.
