About 6 months ago I had a Solar Installation installed by this company Solar Universe In Westlake Village. They told me that they would install the system and a pool pump as a gift to me! I explained to the Sales Rep David that I was concerned about the tiles on my roof and what will happen if they break during the installation? David told me that they would repair any damage to my roof!
After the installation I had over 100 broken tiles. I then called David and he told me they would fix them, but nobody every showed up! I then called and Spoke with Tony the Sales Manager and he was no help at all. to be honest not sure from talking to him if he is or can be a Sales Manager. No customer serivce, never return calls, couldn't speak clearly!
I then called and talekd to Mitch the Owner of the company. He is a typical sales guys! Blowing smoke up my but and kiising up to me to make me feel warm and fuzzy inside, but after 2 months not one tile was fix not one thing was taken care of! Then I had issue with my pool pump and it was not workign properly. Due to the lack of repsonse from the Solar Universe Team I called the Corporate Office, and guess what still no help!
I then call Sunrun my leasing company and asked if they can send someone out to fix my pool pump since I had lease with then and Solar Universe Sold me this system. Sunrun was helpful and got back to me. Ask questions about the pool pump and the way Solar Universe explaine the pump. I told them that they told me they purchased a ton of pumps and they want to install it and give it to me at no charge! They asked me more questions! A few days later I recieved a call back from Sunrun after I told them to come and get the system if soemone would not repair my pump this was the only reason I went with Solar Universe.
After I did some invesstagations and talking with Sunrun I realized teh Mitch and his team are not only ripping custoemrs off, but the Ferderal Government as well. I talked to my CPA about the Laws and he explained to me what Mitch at Solar Universe is doing could get me invovled into a Federal Investagation and I could be held resposnable for the back cost if they don't pay!
After seeing how slimmy this guy is and how he runs his company. They fact the the corportate office will turn a blind eye to this guy shows me that this company as a whole are thieves! Stay away from them. Just so you know Sunrun removed the system repaired my roof, and I went with another Solar Company. They we professional, repectfull, but most of all honest! I got suckered into the lower price they offered, but remember this! If you want want something done right don't look at the lowest price! Stay away from Solar Universe they will destroy your home and walk away and not think twice about helping you out!
