Solace Warranty - Total Scam don't be ripped off by these liars, thieves, crooks, con artists
The BBB says they have no rating because they have used too many company names. The company is a total scam. They sold us a warranty from United Service Contract Group which had a C Rating now has NO Rating as well withthe BBB and has only been in business since May 2013. Basically the policies are worthless. We were foolish not to have looked them up prior to purchasing a warranty from Solace.
They trick consumers with low down payments and spread the balance out over 4 years basically taking advantage of people like us on a tight budget.
We had gotten other quotes but Solace let us make such small payments that we didn't even bother to look them up. We learned the hard way cheaper isn't always better. We were blindsided with the scam of the coverage because we were too focused on trying to save a dollar.
Our car happened to have a breakdown a few months into the warranty so we went to the dealer, they never heard of Solace or United Service Contract Group. When they finally got ahold of someone they said it was not a covered repair because it was pre-existing. The car worked and dove fine when we bought the warranty from Solace, now months later it starts bucking while driving and they say its pre-existing!! The mechanic said it was some electronic shifting module for our transmission and it either works or doesn't and that it could never be pre-existing because it just starts acting up out of the blue when it goes bad such as ours did and basically makes the car undriveable.
Our claim was denied while we were on vacation in Hollywood Florida where the corporate offis supposedly is for the warranty we bought from Solace so we decided to go right to the office of United Service Contract Group who Solace says is the one deciding if the claim is valid or not only to find it isn't a warranty company at all. The registered Agent Mark Cohen is an attorney paid to file corporate papers. They wouldn't even speak to us.
I am sure it won't be long before they change their name again. Nobody returns our calls when asking for a manager, they keep telling us we get NO money back!
They used to go by the name Precision Auto Protection and Home & Car Care and Advanced Marketing and Processing and now they are SOLACE or Solace Warranty or Solace Extended Warranties with their website gosolace.com.
Stay away, don't waste your time or money with Solace or United Service Contract Group.
