If I could give this company 1 one star, I would. Very bad service and possible a scam.
To start, we filled out the questionnaire online that asks a series of questions to see if you qualify to file for divorce in your state BEFORE paying for the product ($199). Unlike other sites, like legalzoom.com, there was no prompt or warning that says "you do not qualify to use our service". So they will take your money regardless of your qualification.
AFTER paying for the product I was notified that it had to be filed in another state. Instead of ASKING should they proceed with the order, given the change, they took the liberty of changing the state and emailed them to me WHILE I was on the phone asking for a refund!!!! I told the woman, Judy, that we already had forms for the other state, MO, and that we didn't need the service. Her reply was "well, your documents were just emailed to you".
I guess the idea was to get the product out as soon as possible as to avoid having to refund the money??? Go with legalzoom.com. I should have known it was a shady operation when their website came up as smartdivorce.com AND rapidlaw.net. We will be reporting them to the Better Business Bureau.
