My grand parents bought a mattress here a little over a year ago. The sales person did not go over proper support on their bed for the Mattress they were buying and after a year the mattress started to sag. The delivery men also mentioned nothing about support voiding the warranty,not to mention they didn't receive any warranty info at the time of delivery, nor is it on their sales slip. Sleepy's denied their claim, and has refused to do anything to help them or make it right other than offer a "steep discount" which they wouldn't say what it was. Knowing how their pricing works with 5 pricing levels (1, price on the bed. 2 first price below that to keep you in the store, 3 another discount to get you to buy today, 4 bigger discount to stop customers from comparison shopping, 5 the lowest price they can offer to still make money and make sales during slow periods), unless discount is in the 80% range they are still making money. Very disappointing to take advantage of two 80 year old people.
I purchased in person two bedroom MATRESS sets from SLEEPYS. I only received one/I SPENT THOUSANDS WITH THEm / I can't get my money back. They don't even honor there own return policy/ have kept me since march 8, 2015 waiting on a refund that I have endlessly called for over n over. One set was delivered to a child with lupus in NYC improperly twice/ she had to sleep without her bed while this company deceivered it wrong twice.mpromised that my bed could be delivered to my home/ that bed came wrongly delivered- it wasn't the product I had purchased/ returned that as well. Finally, since they could not deliver the MATRESS for five months here I am still requesting a refund since date of bad delivery back in April 2015. I spoke to Peter a supervisor of customer service who assured me my refund would be there in 3 days. Well, it is NOT AGAIN! I'm a disabled woman recovering from a broken neck who has sufferred without a bed until this day bcuz SLEEPYS ARE NOT THE MATRESS PROFESSIONALS THEY CLAIM TO BE. WORSE SERVICE I HAVE EVER GOTTEN IN ALL MY LIFE -DONT BUY YOUR STUFF WITH THEM, IF YOU CHANGE YOUR MIND IMAGINE WHAT COULD HAPPEN THEN...UNHAPPY SUFFERRIG. CUSTOMER OF SLEEPYS
I first called Sleepy's on May 5, 2015, about problems with a mattress from Sleepy's that is under warranty.
I got a case # and a service ticket number, and was told that I would receive a packet in the mail foe self-inspection of the mattress. The packet never came. When I called again, I was given a second number to call, and was told that I would get expedited service. Still, no packet.
I have posted 3 times on Sleepy's Facebook page; still no service. The mattress cost around $2,000.
On September 16th 2014 I bought a serta cool elegance lxp queen size mattress for $2067.00 plus a fabratec mattress protector for $100.00 totaling $2167.00 . Was told to keep protecter on and I would have a 25 yr warranty. A week later they set up my bed put protector on. In march of 2015 mattress had lost alot of firmness. To the point my knees would hurt if I slept on my back. I called sleep's and they sent me a home inspection kit witch consisted of a string, 2 washers and a paper ruler. The directions said strip the bed lay string across and measure indentation. When I stripped the bed there was a sweat ring. Sleepy's says this voids my warranty. I say but I had the protector on. They tell me to call fabratec. so I call fabratec place a claim with them. They tell me I'll get some paperwork in the mail within 14 days. 21 days later I call them back to ask about the paperwork that never showed. They tell me there is no record of my claim and give me the same story of two weeks I'll get paperwork in the mail. 6 days later I get a letter from them saying I failed to launder the protector monthly so they won't honor the warranty. I was never given care intructions. I was told "keep the protector on". The protector is pretty much a plastic fitted sheet that makes you sweat so now im out 2k and I can't sleep on the mattress. And neither company will honor their warranty.
We have purchased mattresses for our house for almost 30 years from first 1-800-mattress and now as it is called Sleepys. The current issue is a $2500 mattress that was purchased Dec. 2013. The mattress has collapsed and is unsuitable to sleep on. A mattress should last longer than 18 months!
Sleepys sent us a kit with weighted string and asked us to take pictures. Once we sent in the pictures, we were told that the mattress looked fine on the pictures. Very hard to see how bad a mattress is with the pillowtop covering it.
In the past, when there was any issue, an inspector would be sent out. Now it is all about the string. Looking at the 100+ complaints on this site about Sleepys, I guess I am not alone with this issue.
I have also been told that they no longer carry my mattress. I wonder why? Too many complaints.
I was told to go to one of their stores and to pick out a new mattress. When I call them with the mattress style number, they will then tell me what kind of discount I can have on this mattress. So in addition to the $2500 I am about to lose on my mattress, they want me to spend even more money with them. Is this a scam?
My advice, do not purchase a mattress from Sleepys. They do not honor any warranties!
Here is my review of dealing with scam bedding company sleepys. #1 dont buy there floor models!!!!!! These are not built as regular sales models... They wont tell you that and still sell you there display models.. #2 watch out for bait and switch... I am very savy shopper.. but even I got taken.
story.. salesmen shows us an OPTIONS 8 memory foam matteress. We buy... Get box home and it isnt an options 8 rather a differnt model and is only 7 inches.. So STAY away for sleepys ... They would not exchange with out charging extra... I will never step foot ina sleepys again.
