My experience is of a differrent nature, but with the same individual named attala zane giles. Mr. Giles is posing as a record executive with universal music group/bungalo records, in los angeles, ca. He is not to be trusted. Mr. Giles contacted me stating and promising me a recording contract and stating that he was going to invest 1-2 million dollars into my music career. He also promised to send me to nashville, tn to record most of my album with a "major nashville producer" and then sending me to los angeles, ca to record 2 songs with the legendary producer "david foster." this of coarse has not happened. He also made a false claim of having music legend "russ regan" appointed as his director of a&r.
While mr. Giles has not directly taken money from me, he has prevented me from booking shows and entertaining other offers in the music industry, by promising that we would begin my recording career within 3-4 weeks. This was almost 9 months of empty promises stating "we're almost ready" or "just a couple more weeks, we're really close".
I've made several attempts to contact bungalo records directly, to ask of mr. Giles involvement. No one has returned my calls and their number has been changed several times. Their last known address leads to a "virtual office" in los angeles, ca. Mr. Giles only supplied me with his cell phone number at the time , which he has not replied to numerous text messages and/or phone calls from me, asking for nothing more than a explaination of why he would do this to someone. After a solid month of attempts, mr. Giles took my call and had no reasonable explaination and stated "i don't need to explain myself to you or anyone else for that matter!"
In closing, i can say that the music industry is certainly full of thousands of sharks, cons and scams, but zane giles tops it all! if you are ever approached by this man...Run away! i would not recommend doing business with this man or anyone else he is involved with. I can only hope that the proper authorities put an immediate halt to this scam artist!
