They came into my store on January 24th, 2014. Very high pressure sales and finally agreed to test the sign for the agreed upon 60 days ...they never returned my call...never came back to check on me and never picked up the equipement. They told me they need my ss number as to know who has thier equipement...only to later find out they financed the sign in my name. When the finance company began calling for payment. I told them I do not want the sign...they told me I had to pay and outragouse amount to get out of the lease? I didn't sign a lease and when I requested a copy it is all scribbled over...where the sales rep had written 60 days risk free and can return the equipement. So I tried another tactic...I called to get them to program the sign and no one returned that call. the lease is triple the cost to just buy this sign...then when I say I am not paying they threaten to report it to my credit . DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!
This is what I posted on the Signtronix website. I don't even remember the sales rep name. Possibly Scott, who cares. He was too pushy on wanting to help us. Just to let you know, your sales rep was very unprofessional and stated his 'objective' was to help us out. Strong emphasis on 'objective'. He came in to my restaurant yesterday, I immediately knew he wanted to sell something. He did his pitch, we seemed interested to what he had to offer. Today he came in, with a 40 in LED display sign that can display 1700 different messages during a 24 hour period. He plugged it in, had different messages, really bright, he even held it up against the window so we can see what it looked like outside. After his demonstration of the sign, we wanted to get to the bottom line. Well he pulled out this big binder, flipping though pages explains the history, how long company been in business, how many customers they have, how are the signs made, and that they are part of the BBB, etc. Well we kept asking what is the price of the sign. He avoided the question, stating he can sell it to us for retail price for $7000..jokingly. He said that what he is gonna do, is call up the warehouse and see what he can do for us; since he wanted to 'help the business' . But before that, he said that he want to help us make the business grow. We told him it's small, and only been open for 2 months. The cafe is in an industrial complex on a busy main street. We already have a lighted sign on top of the building with our name, plus we have an Flashing Open sign and a lighted special menu display sign on our front Windows face the road/traffic. A lot of the repeat customers come in because if the previous owner and it's convenient and love the food. A lot of new faces come in by word of mouth, or by our Val Park coupon. We explained that to him. He said only 37% of new customers are from word of mouth, the rest is because of 'sign'. Well once again we tried to see what the price of the LED sign was, he avoided the question by stated that his main objective was to help us draw in more customers (no your objective is to make a sale). Then he turns around and started to ask us questions about what we did before buying the business, told him 'various jobs'. He was trying to get information so he can personalize the sale, I saw through this. I told him what's with the 20 questions, he kinda got all butthurt, and said that all he trying to do is help us out. Well, you have a product that we were interested in, but you don't tell us how much it is!!!! Then he goes on a rant about how McDonald's has a sign, yea.. Of course McDonald's is gonna a have a giant sign at the restaurants.. They can afford the 20k for it, that chump change to them. How are you gonna compare a multi-billion dollars company to a small restaurant that is just starting out!? Just because they have a giant lighted sign!? The sales rep blew his potential sale. 'I don't want to waste my time' NO you wasted our time by hemming and hawing over BS, and not giving us the bottom line.
