I pulled out my own permits and hired an architect to remodel a room that was a combined laundry/refrigerator/hot water heater nightmare. My home is a classic 1950's modern and I was told Sierra Construction was both artisians and remodeled with integrity. The first day the "artisian" carpenter came out, he got in an argument with the hired foreman and quit. From then on the job was a cheesy nightmare with the worst materials provided and the foreman ended up doing all the work after hours. Nothing was measured correctly and so the new room did not esthetically go together as planned. The contract was to update the electrical which I had to hire someone else to do once the pool electric panel melted, the tile guys came out and left and never came back to grout. I asked for a 10% discount since the job went way over time and was done so poorly, they never even responded except sent a letter from their lawyer. I had paid top dollar because I wanted it to match the integrity of the original house. Basically, if they had given me 10-8% discount, the extra 800 dollars would have helped pay for the corrections. the worst thing was the stackable dryer did not fit flush with the vent and has to stick out 18 inches from the wall. Terrible experience! And Paul never returned a call. Never talked to the man no matter my concerns.
