I had surgery the end of June 2014 and am collecting NYS disability from a private insurance company. I am suppose to get a check every week. I don't get any money for 2-3 weeks,if I'm lucky. This company sends a form fore to fill out and return, with every check. Once a month, they send a form for my doctor to fill out and return. I complete my forms the day i get the check. My doctor has been doing their part in 1-2 days. These forms get faxed into the company. When I call to get information on late checks, I'm told that it takes 24 hours to get the form from the fax and 4-5 business days to process a check to mail. This doesn't include mailing time. the company will not direct deposit a check because they claim that the new form, mailed to me prohibits direct depositing a check. I would like to know how I can get a weekly check, when they need 24 hours nto walk it from the fax machine and 4-5 days processing and then the mailing time? it is now 10/15/14 and i have not been paid since 9/26/14. My doctor has sent form twice since my last check. When I complain, the claim representative ignors my questions and complaints. She will talk over me like I have nothing valid to say. Is there anywhere I can complain to that matters?
