On Dec 1 2014 Sharon and Andrew came to San Jose Del Cabo to live in our apt. for 3 months. We picked them up at the airport, brought them to the suite, took them to get water twice, food from Costco, took Sharon to get her nails done. They were on foot so we thought it would help. Within a couple of weeks they came and asked if the elderly mother could stay in the one bedroom for a week. Because the suite was small we said we have an extra bedroom and for a week she can stay here. All is going great. We even invited them to dinner because they were alone at Christmas.
Andrew came to us almost in tears, somehow Andrew's sister booked her for 1 month, what was he going to do? We felt they were in a bad situation and we said o.k. she can stay for a month. He said, "You guys, we'll make this good. We'll pay you don't worry. Seeing as they were leaving at the end of Feb, on Feb 17 I sent an email as I wanted to settle the deposit of $750. I sent andrew an email and asked what he thought the bedroom and shower was worth. He said"you decide". So I said $10. per day. Well that is when the bad stuff started. They said the place was worse than living on hastings street in Vancouver, that they were bitten with bugs. All of this happened only after I asked for the $10 per day for the mother's stay. They were both enraged. They said they were staying an extra two months and we could get them out. Then they said they were leaving early and wanted the daily rate deducted for the time they would not be there, then they threatened my elderly 78 year old husband that they weren't finished with him.
Andrew and Sharon's antics became worse and worse even going over a wall around our property when they could have used the steps and walkway. Each time I showed the suite for the next renter I gave them 24 hours notice by email. Then they said my husband stole a tube of caulking and they were going to the police. I don't know of anyone who travels to the Baja with a tube of caulkiing and a caulking gun. We believe Hank bought the caulking and the gun was his. Well they didn't want to pay for the electricity, not the cleaning fee upon leaving etc. etc. Their parting gift to us was to distribute paper around the gated community saying my husband stole from them and that they were putting a video on youtube
. Apparently they had spycams in the apartment and filmed us with a movie camera everytime they left the property. His last parting shot to me is you better watch yourseslf in White Rock B****. Bad Bad people but when you first meet them they are so sweet and warm and so engaging. Thugs both of them. Be aware. They travel in the winter when he can't work his construction business. They also do stuccoing in and around Drumheller Alberta. Deal with them at you peril. We are sorry we ever met them, both of them.
