Hired them to do an inspection on a home I was buying. There were no major red flags; just lots of nit picky things, so I bought the house. Four years later when I need to sell the house, the buyers hired them to do an inspection as well- by coincidence. This time they found out that it had no septic system. While in my report everything was fine.
Long story short, I lost the sale of my home, was told by the health dept that the house was uninhabitable and would be fined if I lived there, and had to hire an attorney to get easements signed by my neighbor so I could become compliant! I had to move in with family and have my mother pay $14000, from her retirement, for a new septic!
They will not even entertain that they were wrong and Patty stopped answering phone calls. I hope that no one ever has to go through what I did with them. At one point the health dept told me it was easier to abandon the house and let the bank foreclose on it.
If they would've done the job I paid them to do initially, I would not have been in this situation. They guessed on major components of the inspection; run from this company, they do not stand behind their work.
