Well, I didn't want to do this but all I'm getting is stonewalling and non-answers and my patience is running out. According to SecondSpin's help section it says it normally takes 3 business days to process shipments that you sell to them. Well it's been twice as long now and after contacting customer service multiple times I'm just told that they contacted the warehouse and they'll get back to me when they get back to me and asked me to be patient.
You'd think that seeing someone this upset may make them make it a priority but apparently not. I'm wondering if they contacted the warehouse at all. The shipment was delivered (tracking 9405 5036 9930 0060 1682 13), there are no errors on the address label and no one's doing anything to get me my money. No word on why it may be taking this long. Just the usual be patient or someone will email you when it's ready. Now it's Friday and I won't hear anything until at least Monday but I'm not getting my hopes up.
These weren't some overstock DVD's that they pay 50 cents for either. No, these were Scream Factory and a couple Criterion Blu Rays. I figured I would get paid faster and after calculating eBay, shipping and Paypal fees I wasn't losing that much money by selling to SS. I spent my hard earned money on these and now that I've lost my job I need the money to pay bills. They apparently don't seem to care. It's not enough that they sell these movies for 2 or 3 times what you pay for them but now they need to rip people off too? Funny how some movies that were out of stock when I shipped mine there are suddenly in stock. I'm sure it's all just a coincidence that these movies you rarely have in stock are suddenly showing up on the site (sarc). I wouldn't be surprised if some of them were just shipped to stores so it doesn't look too scammy.
I know times are tough and their business is built around a dying medium but ripping off consumers is pretty low. I'm owed a check for $154 for blu-ray's, dvd's and a shipping reimbursement. If not send they should just send the package back. I already checked with the Post Office and there's nothing they can do since it says it was delivered. I can't file an insurance claim because it was delivered. I've had some success with SecondSpin in the past so I trusted them. It's sad to see them on the decline like this.
