I bought a used portable building for $1600. I paid $300 down with the balance was $1300 dollars. After three months I ask for a pay off and was told it was $1600. Then I ask what happened to the $300 that I paid now which the ballot should be $1300. Now I've made for additional payments of $200 each. As I spoke to a lady at scogin enterprise inc, she told me they were charging me 40% interest on this $1600 dollars. I reminded her that I paid $300 down which the balance should be $1300. I do believe 40% interest is quite high. Then I said I've misplaced contract so would you please send me my sign contract or a copy of it, to this day I've not got that contract that I signed. I asked the lady how much out of $200 goes to the principal part of this financing, in return she told me $130.63 goes to the principal and $69.37 was the interest.
Then I asked how much money is owed against the building that I would like to pay it off. I was told in return they would add an additional hundred dollars to what was owed against the building. Now why would I want to give them an additional money just to pay them off. That is a rip off to pay someone money just to pay off.
So if you take $1300 dollars and subtract $130.36 for four months that's only $521.44 that leaves a balance I believe of $778.56 now if I add this $100 to the balance that's $878.56. That's also giving them in interest $277.48. So the bottom line is this building started out in $1600 dollars.
So if you add $277.48 plus the $300 I paid down plus 4 payments of $200 each equals that's a total of $1377.48.
So now I want you to explain to me who's been took advantage of sure don't look like this company .
I call it unfair business practice either way you look at . and I believe somebody should have a very strong talk with this company .
