Avoid this firm, especially if she wants you to sign a non-refundable retainer because you may not be happy with the service you get. If you have time to continually relay the same information to them, orally and written, and don't mind paying for work to be done over constantly then I would still look elsewhere for an attorney. I lost over $4000 using Camy's firm and $3600 was left in retainer when I asked them to stop work. The Florida Bar Association disciplinary department evaluated that my monetary loss from her was not enough to seek disciplinary action against her. She also refused to go through arbitration with me through the Florida Bar Assc. to settle the dispute. In Camy's rebutal to the Florida Bar on my complaint about her, she claimed that my consult was free, even after providing proof with reciepts that I paid $250 for my over the phone consult the Florida Bar still did not find that disciplinary actions were needed...I guess $4000 is not a lot of money to attorneys. Final note, I personally know Camy and when I learned about the non-refundable retainer and asked to speak with her I was told she was in meetings....she never called back as requested and after 5 days I finally got an email from her telling me that she does not handle the financial matters in her 4 person(?) office.
