Please where do I begin. 1. They lie to lure you in to workn for them. They tell you that you will have your own business and make 30,000 to 100,000 a year. 2. You get your second interview, walk in and theres loud music and a bunch of people trying to talk to you (this is all a set up). They do this to get you pumped up and energized to go sell perfume that day which was not mentioned at all during your interview. 3. Before you go out you have these long morning meetings to lure you in with hopes and dreams of owning all these luxurious things and having all this money. 4. Everything they do the cheers and motivational speeches are all ploys to get you out there and selling. 5. I have a 3 month old and worked there for 2 weeks over 12 hrs a day and do you know I made under 20.00 not even enough to buy one of their bottles of perfumes. Please do not work there the more people they get the more money in the pockets. Oh and one last thing. It's person to person sales walking in the streets all day and if you make a sale or not whomever you pit to you must ask for a donation so that you will at least have some money in your pocket because if you don't ask you won't make anything. I wonder if I can sue for false pre tense. They said it was paid training and I got nothing.

Don't Fall For It

These perfume companies post misleading ads and it's not until the person is already knee-deep in training that they realize it's a 100% commission only sales job, peddling perfume in parking lots. There is no paid training, no salary or hourly wage, no benefits, just straight commission based on how many bottles of perfume you sale. The company tells you your first day of training to go home and sell to your friends and family as "practice". There is some sort of supposed cash prize for whomever sells the most. Your friends and family take pity on you and buy a bottle or two and you discover the next day that no one is getting that cash prize after all. But the company has just made money off all your sales and the other new recruits sales, so even at this point, if you are fed up and quit on the spot, they don't owe you a penny because training is "unpaid" and they have all the cash you turned in from your sales to friends/family. If you do stay, you will discover you spend your days lurking in parking lots, avoiding the police because you don't have a solicitor's permit and annoying strangers to buy your junk. Is that the sort of "job" you want? Do you really want to sell knock-off perfume to strangers who just wish you would F off? If so, you don't need Scentura, you can buy wholesale perfume directly from a variety of sources and be your own boss. There are many sources to buy from, just do a yahoo or google search. Hopefully though, you want more for yourself in life and you will just say no to these type sales outfits and get a real job with real pay, real benefits and real opportunity!

Get Fined and Arrested

The great majority of cities and towns in the U.S. require peddlers to secure a permit to solicit. As a Scentura 1099 independent contractor, you will NOT have a permit. First off, you wouldn't be able to afford to keep paying for the individual permits. You wouldn't have the time required to wait for your permit to be processed and finally, a lot of Scentura folks would not pass the criminal check to secure the permit. Now, the owner where you work may tell you he has a permit in the office and it covers everyone, but that is just a lie. Each person soliciting must have their own individual permit, in their own name, for eac city/town are they are selling in. If you are fined (that fine could be up to 1k), the owner(s) will NOT pay the fine. If you go to jail (yes, you can spend several days in jail), the owners will NOT bail you out. You will be told you are not an employee, you are an independent contractor and it's on YOU. Oh and don't forget you now have a criminal record or in most cases, you have yet another charge. If you are out on probation at the time you are arrested for soliciting without a license, this could well be the charge that will send you butt back to prison.
