I recently fostered to adopt a dog from Ruff House Rescue in Freeport. We loved the dog and were enthusiastic about making her part of the family. As a precaution, we took her to the vet. As it turns out, she was infected with 2 types of worms. One of which is contagious to people. I have to small children and was not notified by these people. When I asked for the medical expenses to be deducted from adoption fee, I was told to bring the dog back and that I shouldn't have taken her to the vet. They then spun it as we are unfit to adopt.
They claim to be about animals but refused to take responsibility for them. Shameful!
All is well if you don't cross Diane! And - do NOT ever talk about returning a pet!! Not an impressive lady. I think she is not so much about rescue as about $$.
Horrible, horrible organization! This so called "not for proft" set themselves up in Long Beach, NY this weekend to offer adoption of dogs. The so called "Director" Diane who looks like s he is using Ketamine herself is a horrible person! They play on the emotions of people promising adoption only to turn people down; in addition asking exorbanant amount for adoption fees for apparant sick dogs with Kennel cough. They should be shut down. This is not the end and certainly going further with this. STOP PLAYING ON THE EMOTIONS OF PEOPLE!!!!! RUN AN HONEST BUSINESS!!!!!!!! YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELVES! YOUR INTERST IS NOT IN THE BEST OF THE POOR ANIMALS THAT NEED HOMES.
Diane Indelicoato owner of ruffhouserescue has got to be the hatefullest meanest lieing form of life on the planet.She had me go to a shelter to get some dogs she wanted.She had not paid for these dog. A friend of mine adopted the dogs from the shelter paying for them with his credit card.He bought crates ect.for these aussies.He let a woman and her husband foster one of the dogs he adopted Dawn mcdonoghue Yates.Ms.Yates wanted to foster because she wanted to see if this dog would get along with her dog because she was interested in adopting if they got along.
Diane still wanting these dogs offered to pay a vet bill for one that had a broken leg.thinking she was going to get some of them for her rescue mr.gordon let her pay.Then diane started demanding all these dogs were hers and mr gordon was demanded to put them on transport to her.Diane refused to reembures Mr Gordon so he simply let her know he was no longer interested in letting her rescue handle these dogs. Diane proceeded to have the foster fill out a foster application for her rescue when the dog was not even hers.
Now she has Dawn McDonoghue Yates the foster hiding the dog and planning on taking it out of state.Thisdog. legelally is adopted and belongs to Mr. Gordon.Diane has contacted the vet.we told her conract him and he would credit her money for vet services back to her.She refuses.She has slander and lied all over fb about me.What makes this woman think she can steal and control other peoples animals??Now she has dragged Ms Yates into her illeagel activities and going to get this woman into leagel trouble as well.Diane has no morals at all and doesnt care who or what she hurts.This woman has no bussiness with a rescue or dealing with any living being.
