Talk about making your day! Honestly, I do the same thing myeslf. While I don't receive emails from Allan Cox himself, I do get messages from people who matter to me and my career. And yes, I keep them saved just in case I need something to drive me to excel and perform better. I know a lot of people who constantly resign from their first jobs. It's natural I suppose and it's better to be adventurous early than to still keep switching jobs when you're over thirty. Or maybe I should introduce this book to them instead.
Hired Ross excavating to pump out our septic tank. I was actually impressed with thier customer service/attitude.
About a week later during thanksgiving, We started having issues and we called several times and they offered no help, just call a plumber. Even told my wife that while I was at work.
We hired a plumber paid holiday prices. He checked out everything and determined the issue was outside septic related.
Out of desperation I dug up septic tank lid again and noticed it was just as full as when we had it pumped? I even stuck a long metal rod down inside and the bottom felt like molasses. I realized it had been a week, but something didnt seem right.
I called the owner of Ross and accused him of not pumping out tank with really no proof at that point. He seemed like a sincere business man, but offered no help.
Since he offered no help, we hired another septic company H and H out of Belleville IL.
This company sent a very knowledgable, caring person out to our house. We explained what was going on and he checked everything out.
We dug up the inlet cover together (he was surpised that it wasn't dug up before by Ross ) and he explained everything to me how the septic system works. He was here for 2 hours and charged us nothing.
We needed a baffle on the outlet, laterals flushed and main line dug up because of inferior material. An expensive repair.
I started digging up the main line myself to save some money. We hired H and H to put in the baffle and pump out. I requested the pump again because I was really curious if it was needed; and it was.
I came home from work and everything was done. The baffle was replaced, D box rebuilt and tank pumped DRY!
But guess what they discovered, there was 2 1/2 feet of sludge in the tank and a broken baffle in the bottom.
So through the process of elimination and paying double for the same work, I determined Ross Excavating did not pump the tank, not to mention no customer service or restitutuion.
I called the owner again and got no where. I'm out $200 bucks.
So far I have spent $500 with H and H repumping the tank and installing baffle , with another $700 planned. I trust them wholeheatrtedly.
Where Ross is coming from I have no idea. He truly believes they pumped out tank, even though I have proof they didn't. This christmas has been really expensive and we cant afford to just give someone $200 . My daughters christmas will be affected.
