I have filed a complaint w/ the BBB over the loss of deposit monies for services never performed. Mike refuses to refund any money even though it is HIS failure. He violates his own "so called" contract. Buyer beware don't be a victim like the rest of us. He has so many addresses so good luck w/ a lawsuit. Just a terrible man! God will have a special place for you!
I was quoted a pricie of $429.99 to transport my pickup trunk from New Jersey to Florida. I made a deposit of $129.99 to the company. I was told my truck would be picked up in seven days. When it wasn't picked up in seven days and I was finally able to talk to the representative, Mike, I was told it was seven business days.
After seven business days passed, I tried contacting Mike via telephone and e-mail. I left messages on both. When Mike finally got back to me, he said the reason the truck was not picked up was due to the storm and a holiday weekend. He went on to say that for another $300.00 my truck would be picked up the next day. To me this is a "bait and switch" tactic which I feel is unscrupulous.
I refused to pay the additional money and decided to cancel the order since the truck was never assigned to a driver or scheduled for pick up. I was told that my cancellation could not be done on the phone. It had to be sent via e-mail. I did. I also asked about my refund. I was told the request had to be made via e-mail and that the refund would take 21 days for me to receive. As of today, it has been 38 business days and I have still not recieved my refund.
I have called several times and sent several e-mails, and he has not responded. This company is a total rip off. Mike doesn't respond and when he did early on, he made excuses and was sarcastic and demeaning. He siad that I obviously didn't know how the transport industry worked. His use of the word "sir" was done in a demeaning fashion.
The website also shows several companies logos - AAA, Vehix, Angie's List, etc. As a AAA member, I felt comfortable using this company thinking that AAA endorsed them. I recently contacted AAA in Tampa, Florida and was told that they have not given them the right to use their logo. They are investigating this. This is a very dishonest tactic.
Buyers beware. Don't get ripped off like I did. Use another company.
Michael Malinowsky will sound very professional and courteous when he is first contacted. Once he has your deposit you won't hear from him again, nor will your car be picked up. He will promise a refund that will never come this a total 100 % scam. Complaints have been filed with FMCSA.
Broker will first lie to you as they are the carrier who directly work with car shipping companies so they can offer better price.
Broker then will ask client to lock the price by asking their bank account for deposit.
Broker will then email client the shipping invoice to show all the detail and agreement to make client believe everything is done deal and no upfront fee or hidden cost
Broker then will talk to carrier with a much higher price to get the shipping company to move the car.
When car arrived and deliver to the client, carrier will not release the car to the client unless the client pay the price as the deal in between the broker and carrier.
Then Broker shut off the phone and reject email and disappear and also cash out the deposit from client account.
This is how the broker make commission themselves and carrier make money by cheat on the clients.
NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH Rock Bottom Rate Transport. LLC Mike or Michael. They are just a roach-broker that steal your money by cheating on you. Never give bank account to anybody for any reason.
I was having my car sipped from Vancouver Washington to Dallas Texas. Signed a contract that clearly stated 14 guaranteed delivery days for $699. The signed contract was emailed to my fiance and faxed to me for signature and then sent to Mike at rock bottom. After getting my deposit of $99 I never heard from the company.Getting worried I call no answer I had the dealer call they got no answer. Now I am worried its the 11th day since the contract was signed and forwarded to Mike and I have nothing from them other than the original contract. Never got and answer until I dialed from an unknown number then I got an answer. They said the job had been dispatced to a carrier days ago although I never recieved any nofitfication of that. He also said if I wanted to expedite the shippment it would be an extra $150. Two hours after talking to Mike we get several emails of invoices with a $849 fee and a new contract showing the same $849 fee. I didnt not sign it and we replied to the emails asking the company to call leaving the phone number every time. That was on July 7th I still have not talked to the company. Then we replied letting him know that we will contact the proper autorites for breach of contract and for not honoring the original contract. By the way we were sent emails back to back. And only until we asked for our money back then we received a form saying the driver was on the way. However, the dealer did not release my car to the driver because I hadnt spoken to anyone from the companyand I was not going to pay $150 to speed up the process if and never speak to the company again. Seemed real shady, I didn;t know if I would even see my car again.
