Disappointed and frustrated we found out that Roark is only a sales agency which passes on the responsibility for all travel packages to Saver Express Concierge Team, an outside travel agency which does not have to abide by Roarks verbal promises or honor any package deals made by Roark's salesmen.
Both the Hawaii and Australian packages quoted us included airfare (verbally varified three times before signing) but was specificaly excuded in the fine print of the written contract. It also stated that the Destination Provider does not asume responsibility for any verbal representations or understanding we may have had with a representative of the Affiliated Vender or anyone selling the Membership.
Not only were we not able to reply to SaverExpress Cancerge's email, it would not print off more than the first paragraph. Any further tries to communicate with them met with pages of instructions, referrals to manuls and dozens of instructions and exceptions.
Extreme high pressure sales pitch in which we were coersed into a commitment that some day before we even left the office. Not having access to my reading glasses, I could not read the fine print. We even had to phone long distance and transfer my ROTH savings ($10,300) from my Federal Credit Union account as it was the only money assessable that day. Double disaster.
Roark Vacation Travel Club is a Branson, Missouri based sales front for Club Resort Intervals, LLC (CRI). CRI is a Manchester, New Hampshire based agency that operates striaght out of the 1970's ... everything is slow and by phone. No worries, they respond in 3-5 days.
Joining their Travel Club is a Ripoff, but not legally a scam because of what little they promise.
No Services or Service Levels are promised. So slow that booking a vacation takes 3 weeks and 8 calls to their rep. The contract fine print has no commitments regarding service or service levels, so the club members are at their mercy.
Travel services is a nightmare. There are no savings, so whers the club value?
Roark promises "wholesale" pricing, but they define anything on the web as "wholesale", so there's really no savings, so there's no benefit to being a member.
Timeshare rental scheduling is impossible to coordinate. Nothing is on-line. Everything requires phone contact with their rep in NH with the rep responding after 2-3 days with email contact with timeshare property managers. Slow!

Timeshare pricing is not even wholesale.
Strongly suggest folks stay away from this club.
