A little over a month ago (September of 2014) i was in the market for a car. Something reliable with Four wheel drive. I looked around for a few weeks before finally finding RIVERSIDE AUTO 2 IN NEW LONDON, CT. At first it seemed great. The guy Sean showed me a few different cars and i fianlly decided on buying a 2005 Jeep Liberty for about 7000. Before buying i obviously test drove it and noticed a few small problems. As i talked to him he told me not to worry and he would fix the problems. After buying a cheap first car i did not want to buy another lemon so he once again had a soution and also sold me a insurance with the car. Before I took it off the lot he told me to call him and set up a time to fix the few small problems with it to which i agreed thinking nothing of it. After a week of having the car i tried two different times setting up a appointment but he either couldn't because his machanic wasn't in or he had already left. Every time i called he had a new excuse. But the problems really didnt start untill November of 2014. I went into work one day and came out only for my car not to start. At first i assumed it was the battery, so i tried jumping it. After nothing happened I called AAA to pick it up and bring it to the Jeep Dealership. As it was being towed I called RIVERSIDE AUTO 2 for the first time. They didn't answer. That next day as the car was being looked at i called them again and once again no answer but this time i left a message. Later that day the dealership called me and explained that Steering collum needed to be replaced and it was going to cost 1500! On top of the 100 i owed for the inspection. I called RIVERSIDE AUTO for the 3rd time in two days and left my second message. They purposeley ignored my calls. The next day i called once more and in the middle of the ringing it stopped. Meaning he saw my call and pressed ignore. At that point i was so fustrated I went there to talk to him, but of course he said call him tomorrow and we will get it "figured out." Later that night i called the insurance that he sold me just to find out that the part was of course not covered. That next day he said to call him and get it figured out I tried but he didnt answer once again. He is refusing to answer a phone call or talk to me! HE IS A LIAR!!! DO NOT BUY YOUR CAR FROM RIVERSIDE AUTO BECAUSE HE WILL RIP YOU OFF!!!!! I am now in the process of paying for it all. I just want people to know about this before buying a car from him.
