They scammed me too. I never signed up for the full subscription yet they hit me with $39.95. I'm having to cancel my debit card to prevent them from charging me again.
I too signed up for a one time trial for $1.95 and was charged another $39.95 two weeks later. Contacted the company and they stated I had to cancel before the two week trial period was up. I am pretty conscious of what I am doing when putting my credit card on the internet and I remember the choices being a one time fee or a monthly subscription. I am going to dispute the charge with my credit card company and report them to the local new channel and to whomever I can reach via social media. I will be doing the public a favor by losing $39.95 and saving others the hassle and RGO Technologies, LLC will lose business.
I signed up for a membership to help with a resume and cover letter. I agreed to the $1.95 charge and used my credit card for the 2 week trial. I was then charged $39.95 for a pro membership.
There was nothing that said it would automatically renew, nothing that said to cancel after the 2 week trial. No email that said my card would be charged.
I have emailed the support email and will call in person.
BILLED ME ONCE FOR .95 PLUS 1.95 THEN CAME THE 39.95 THE NEXT MONTH. I thought I must have not saw the true cost then came ANOTHER 39.95! I knew then I was scammed!!!!
My wife signed up to purchase a resume for a couple of dollars. She accidently signed up for a permanent account at $39.95 per month. She was unaware of this. They would not refund the first month charge of $39.95 stating the money was legally theirs. It may have been, but what about business ethics? The website charges were deceptive.
Used a company called Resume Genius one time and was charged $2.95 for the service. Thereafter, they started an electronic debit for #39.95 a month which I never authorized. I contacted the company and they had no record of me or an account. I even checked with their other company Resume Companion. They charged me for 2 months and I finally had to close out my bank account and reopen a new one. What a hassle! They were charging me as SJT resumes and RGO resumes. Don't use company for anything!
Used a site call resumegenius.com paid a one time fee of 1.00 + 3.95 for account set up etc.Turns out they billed me 34.95 a month for NOTHING.Called SEVERAL times, they claimed the only person who could authorize a refund was the manager, and they are (ALWAYS) in a meeting. This site bills as SJT ESUMES,and is a complete FRAUD AND RIPOFF!
