Same as the others: We were invited to preview a condo on the Island, then a pretty young woman tried to sell us a timeshare. After refusing an offer of 12k they sent in another man Rodney to try and persuade us. He immediately dropped the price to 7k. We should of caught on then. But then he offered us 20k points or buy into a travel club. The club sounded wonderful. Initial fee of 2k and if they kept our credit card on file the only other fee would be $125.00 yrly. We could travel all over the world and a one bdrm condo would be $155.00 wkly, a 2 bdrm would be $255.00 wkly and a 3 bdrm would be $355.00 wkly. Other options would be homes and there would be tremendous savings with those luxurious homes. We were told that it would take 10-14 days to get going. We told Rodney( who stated he lived on HH).that we were going to be headed to Daytona at the end of the month and he said no problem. Our account would be set up and ready for use. Still a bit hesistant he threw in a free 4 night 5 day cruise and a 8 night 7 day trip of our choice free!!!.
So to make this short, everything is a lie. There are no condos at those prices and no trips. Hotels and condos are cheaper on the net through various companies such as Expedia. We have tried to cancel but to no avail no one would answer their phones or return a call. We were devasted then finally another Rodney called and said Rodney Yurco was fired for misrepresenting the company. Our money would be refunded. Another lie!! We have yet to see our money. My husband has contacted the mayor, who referred him to call two of the city managers and they say they cannot do anything. All of you who have been screwed please call the mayor and lets get rid of these crooks. I have visited HH over 20 years and doubt I will be back. But I will do my best to make sure others do not lose their hard earned dollars. And to you employees of Resorts Anytime...I hope you sleep well at night. I can only pray that one day you feel the hurt that we do. We are hard working people and for the Mayor of HH to allow this to go on is shameful.
BEWARE...they are sweet talkers but nothing they say is the truth!! BTW the mayor is also an attorney!!
On 8-6-11 my wife and I purchased the Presidential Membership Package from Resorts Anytime. Included in this package is a "developer week" stay at Coral Resorts in Hilton Head.
I was told by my salesperson that this week would cost us $200.00 if we chose to stay there and it was not a dedicated week, whatever was open we could take. We had a tour of the resort and loved it, this was the main reason we purchased. Our purchase price was $2495.00, then a yearly fee of 139.00. We were unable to travel due to our 2 children being born since the purchase, until this year.
I recently called to book and they said it would be more than $1500. for this developer week trip. I told them what was told to me and they said it was wrong. I called the manager, Rodney Yurco, he was on vacation and told to call back in a week. Called next week and left a message 8-11-14, no call back. Called again 8-12-14 and spoke with him. told him I wanted a full refund of $2495 plus 2 years of yearly fees and he said he can't do that. I told him what the salesperson said and he stated that the salesperson is dead and he can't ask them what was said, he obviously is saying this as a way out of refunding my money. He was acting like I was making this up and made it seem like if they were alive he could straighten it out, but obviously he was using the death as an excuse. After arguing he stated absolutely no refund will be given, I told him I would be filing this complaint and he didnt care. He also said that I should complain to Coral Resorts but this makes no sense since the salesperson worked for Resorts Anytime not Coral Resorts. He also said that I didn't get the developer week and it should not have been offered to us, we have the developer week addendum as part of the package.
Also the prices I was given for other trips were false and I could book these trips on my own for the same price or slightly less on my own, without the vacation club at all. My wife has also called numerous times and left messages to help resolve this but nobody ever calls back.
Do not do business with them, I have since done research on them and they have an "F" rating with the Better Business Bureau and there is a class action lawsuit against them. I will update if anything happens.
