Unsolicited contact to sell my timeshare. Just send me $2000 because we have buyers lined up. We value your property at $45,000. We are close to the convention center and they are having a convention of individuals interested in time shares.
Understand that you are buying advertising. The one I saw was on their website and of course don't have access to the TV advertising listed.
As I have read before... money up front is money thrown away and despite no complaints against the company with the Florida Govt, these guys are a fake. Send me the money if you have too much.
On 9/14/14 Steve Olivo of Resort Trader contacted us by telephone about the services they provide to time share owners. He stated they provide rental or sale servides. He promised and guarantied they could rent our unit in Branson, MO a total of 4 times yet in 2014 and at least 4 times in 2015. In fact he promised if we would pay $2,500 yet that night he could get it rented by the weekend for $2,500 tp $2,800. He stated this was the market rate.
He stated that should be the amount we would receive each time he got our unit rented. Obviously at that rental price we told him we would rather rent then sell at this point.
It is now 6 months later and NOTHING HAS HAPPENED! We stayed in touch with him the first 4 months and he said he was still trying to get it rented but now he will not take our calls and we can only talk to a "representative". And oh, now the "representative" states our rental price is too high and we should lower it to $1,800 a month. Right! Obviously, this was a complete sham and ripoff.
Resort Trader's representative, Lou, approached me by phone. He promised that he would rent out my timeshare "within the next day or two." I was also guaranteed the right to revoke my contract within ten business days. i revoked by mail wthin seven days. They denied receiving the written cancellation, and kept $2308 of my money via my credit card.
When i instituted a billing dispute with my credit card, they responded by falsely claiming that they received only oral and not written cancellation.
I believe the entire operation is a scam. They have a number of complaints against them, and apparently no satisfied customers.
