I saw a posting on Craigslist for a 2 bed 1 bath duplex in Fort Collins. It listed the price and amenities but had no location or photos. The only contact info listed was a phone number- (303)952-0273. I called the number and a woman answered and said she was with Relocation Services of America. I asked what properties they had available, she told me about a couple (again not including any actually street addresses). I asked how to apply and she asked for my email and then told me that I would be recieving an application and I just had to fill it out and email it back and then a Property Coordinator would be in contact with me.
This is what the email looked like:

I have read and understood these requirements:
I filled out the email and sent it back, but no one called me. So I called the woman back at the same number the next day. She told me that all I had to do was pay the $350 retainer fee and then I would be assigned a property coordinator. I asked her how to pay and she told me to go a Walgreens near me, go to the register and get a pre-paid debit card in the amount of $350. She said to call once I was there so they could walk me through the process. That was when I realized it was probably a scam. She gave me very little info, and simply said that a Property Coordinator would contact after the payment was made and I could then begin viewing properties. I googled Relocation Services of America and found very little info, except for their website -rsarentals.com . The website also has very little info on it, and the coporate address they list, when searched on google maps, shows up as a Pizza Hut.
I received the same information looking to rent in Denver 3 bedroom 1 bath for $1000 the lady kept me on hold forever and then finally sent me an email while I was on the phone and told me to fill that out and the coordinator would call me back. I've been looked at the email she sent me and it looks just as above then I knew it was a scam googled the name and this review popped up and it's everything they say it is a scam!
I was looking for a one bedroom for my client looked craigslist we found something. I contacted Amy and was told to go get a $350 vanilla Visa card. Then an Asian lady called I guess she was the scam owner and coordinator. This woman was so rude told us to shut up and listen We immediately ask her for a refund She says send me an email now. Just to let you all know. I will be following up with this. Our agency gave the client $350. PISSED IS NOT THE WORD IM HEATED
Others have been ripped of by this company also. I wasn't paying attention like i should have. Lots of chaos and drama going on tying to find a place to move to prevent being homeless. Moving to fast. Still can't find a place to move to. And now being ripped off in the process. I have not received a receipt for payment. Nobody answers the phone. Had an appointment set and got stood up. Im just trying to provide a roof over me and my kids heads. To bad there is so many scams in the world today messing up innocent peoples lives.
Amy is here name as she says#720-352-5931.They are posting ads on capitalist doing to me the same thing as stated above they have targets all through out colorado
Same here. Ad on Craigslist (though they did give an address of the rental property), call the number, fill out application, send us money, and we'll assign you a coordinator. Buy a debit card and send money to an address without being able to trace who you sent it to? Yeah, that's a scam.
