I brought my car to Region Motors after being lured in by cool cars posted on Facebook. Without doing any research on the company or "Walt", I brought my car to him for a motor and transmission swap. Walt provided an estimate and had no time limit. He called a few times and reported issues with the car that I was aware of so I'm at ease thinking my car is in good hands. Then I get the call that my car is done and that's where the fun began. I get there and there's overspray all over the front of my freshly painted car so they had to get that off. I drove the car a few miles before reaching home. The belts had twisted and frayed because they were not lined up, about a belt width off.
They picked up the car and moved the alternator around. Now my freshly painted motor looks like garbage and the brackets look like they came out of a parts bin. Walt will tell you about all the "man hours" he puts in "fabricating brackets" but in actuality it's because Walt won't buy the correct brackets and tells the mechanic to "use and bend the old brackets" from my old motor which are not the same. I get the car back and have to wash it because it was covered in bird droppings. Drive the car less than 10 miles . It won't start and it's leaking transmission fluid.
They come get it a second time. I go to pick it up after it's" finished" again, and it's missing a heater core and blower motor because they removed it. They advised that is was removed because I asked them to which I never did. The parts were supposedly in the corner but once I had Walt put the heat back in, he tried to charge me for new parts. After it's "finished" AGAIN, I go there to find coolant on the manifold. Seems that the manifold has a crack and is leaking coolant. So, after Walt had my car for several weeks, I do not have a drivable car. It's parked in storage while I recoup my loss. He charged me twice my budget/estimate and never put the correct parts on my car. Worse experience ever and Walt does not know cars which leads to communication breakdowns. They do not double check their work and I would never recommend or use them again.
Went against my better judgement by answering a cheap online ad to have my car painted . Called and made an appointment with the scam artist himself named Walter, a big fat guy who obviously owns this crappy mess of an outfit that falsely advertises as a professional body shop. Told me my car needed a few mechanical items and I decided to have it painted there. He made all these empty promises of how nice my car would look and drive.Well not more than a month later the paint is peeling everywhere and the suspension is falling apart. You can tell that the paint quality is the cheapest possible. My car is blue and the old color is bleeding through because he didn't sand it completely and slapped the new paint on it. My car now steers like a tank and makes a thumping sound when I hit small bumps which is much worse than it was before I brought it in.When I asked him to fix it he basically told me that he doesn't warranty his work. That's right he doesn't stand by anything he does but boy he certainly took my thousands of dolars pretty darn quick. This paint job is an utter embarrassment. When people ask me who did the work I tell them a shister named Walt. Region Motors should be out of business. It's amazing how criminals like this can do such shitty work and stay in business. This guy will lie to your face and steal from you. Many other reputable body shops in the Indianapolis area that actually warranty their work.
