I purchased PC Health Boost in Nov 2013 and use it regularly. I am not thrilled with their tactics either, but I know that my computer is in good shape because I use their scan often.
I was recently having some issues that I thought might be computer related and found Regcure Pro. I did a scan and was totally freaked out when it reported 540 errors. I then clicked on FIX and the same screencomes up that PC Health Boost uses. I was not willing to pay for something that I already have just by a different company.
Now they are hounding me. I cannot find an unsubscribe option on their site. I believe that companies that use scare tactics need to be shut down, obviously they are lying to get me to buy their product.
PC Health Boost uses the same tactics. They scare you with a high number of errors, then once you register and pay, they hit you up for a few hundred dollars to ""go through"" all of your files. They also ""get"" you, by again scaring you and telling you that ""other"" experts would charge hundreds if not thousands to fix it. And the killer, ""This price is only available on this phone call"" Seriously!
The registry cleaners may be legit but come on. Aren't scare tactics just lies and why are these well known companies still operating this way?
