I was attempting to have a vehicle I just purchased in Houston, TX transported to my home in NY. A representative named Deanna called me and offered me a quote. From there the owner, Ronnie called me on 5/7/15. Their price was the lowest and Ronnie told me he had a driver that could pick up my car in Houston that day. He expressed that a $150 deposit was required and the total was $750. I gave him my debit card number and a few hours later noticed $200 was charged to my card and I wasn't sent any paperwork or a receipt. I called Ronnie and he told me he sent it, he'd send it again via email. By the end of business, I still had nothing. I called Ronnie the morning of 5/8 and told him I still hadn't gotten anything. He was quite rude and finally sent a "receipt" that said my name and $200, no total, no addresses. I called Deanna and asked for a formal order with the total on it, she emailed me the quote that stated my name and address, which was wrong, as well as the dealers name and address which was also wrong. I asked her to correct these as I couldn't see how they had plans on having someone pick up my car that day if the addresses weren't even correct. She did correct this. I didn't sign anything, there was nothing stating a deposit was made or deposits were non refundable. Deanna also sent me the information of the driver who was supposedly picking up my car that day.
Around 5:30 my time, I received a call from Stephanie at Regal stating that the driver was attempting to get my car and the dealer told the driver the car was already gone, so they cancelled the pick up. I called the dealer who expressed they had been waiting for the driver all day and the car was sitting right outside the dealership. I then called the driver, Ivan who informed me that he was currently in NY, he wouldn't be in Houston until Monday May 11 and Regal had called him and cancelled the pick up for my car. I called Regal and told them to leave it cancelled and reverse my charge. Ronnie told me "I wasn't getting my $200 back and if I kept it up, he still has my card number, he'd charge me the balance." I couldn't believe these people. I immediately froze my card and had to be issued a new one. I will have to despute the original unauthorized charge when I can get to the bank. They have made several attempts to charge random dollar amounts to the dead card.
