I ordered 3 products from RECON. ($234.84 Total) One of the products was defective ($69.95) so I had to go to UPS and pay for shipping ($11.39) the item was shipped 10-7-14. RECON received the return 10-9-14 As of 10-23-14 I had not received credit so I called RECON and spoke with Ryan. Ryan tells me my card will be credited before the end of the day and informs me that I will also be charged a 20% restocking fee. ($13.99) I tell Ryan the product is defective and I should not be charged a restocking fee. Ryan disagrees. Says it is policy. I say that is a bad business practice and I will be sure to let as many folks know the facts about RECON's "customer service" policy regarding defective mdse. Ryan then said I was CHILDISH. Yep, childish for telling people the facts and the truth. So, to recap. If you mail order from RECON and the product is defective TO BAD the burden is on you to pay shipping and 20% of the product value (restocking fee) not to mention all the time involved! In closing the $69.95 defective item I ordered and returned will still cost me $25.38 and about 2 hours of my time. Update: as of 10-24-14 RECON has not credited my credit card!
