I purchased my spa the X11 7/29/2014 . It was delivered within 3 weeks . Shortly after 2months of purchase i noticed that the panels on my spa were starting to warp . I then called the company and was told to contact Ray at LPI inc. Products to see about adressing the issue . IT took 1 month to get a responce back and then they said upon recieving pictures of the panels they would send out the replacement parts . After several emails and another 2 months we recieved the replacements panels . I was told to call Ray back once i recieved the panels but after contacting him i didnt recieve a call back . I intern talked another person and was told that i would have to put the panels on myself but i have a 6 month warrenty with free labor . I told them no i would not place them on the spa i wasnt trained to do that and i would like a perfessional to come out instead and they agreed to send someone .
After 3 weeks with no call and no response i called again to see what the hold up was they replied saying that they have some calls out but got no reply back and again was urged to install them myself . I again said no that i was no going to install them due to having a warrenty that covers these types of issues and i should not have to install the panels when there are professionals that can do it properly . The person said they would make more calls in my area and find someone to come out and install the replacement panels . Now it is January 6, 2015 and still no call and no response to calls made to them and my replacement panels still remain in the box they came in uninstalled .
Our hot tub worked fine for about 2 months and then the lights started flickering and the audio cut off and wouldn't work. Then we had a problem with it leaking water. When the service guy came out while I was inside and he knocked on the door to ask me about my audio problem AFTER he had obviously done what he needed to do because he had already connected to his bluetooth. I couldn't remember which connection I had been using for TWO MONTHS and only had 2 to choose from not to mention my 17 yr old daughter who knows her electronics couldn't get it to work on her phone either.. But all of a sudden it magically worked again. He then claimed the leak was due to my husband not securing the plug when we refilled it and wanted to charge $130.00 for a service charge. My husband refused to pay it because everyone at one point could connect to the hot tub via bluetooth and then nobody could. Wally in the Fredricksburg office basically said it was because of our stupidity that they had to send someone out and he was voiding our warranty because we were refusing to pay.
WELL two days later we still have water build up around the hot tub and now you can litterally hear it leaking sometimes from inside near the motor! Our audio doesn't work AGAIN and the lights flickered and briefly shut off before the radio cut off. I don't think they can blame our "stupidity" on this one! We've been calling since the beginning of May and Wally "claims" he came out may 22nd and there was no leak. I'm a stay home mom and don't go anywhere during the day how the *** did I miss him? And where is the paper I signed saying he came to do a service check? And why is it STILL leaking? It's not worth the discount to put up with this hassel! We've contacted the office in kingsport Tennessee and they said they'll send someone out but it's been a month and my deck has continuous water sitting on it. I'm having to fill it up every 2 to 3 days and we have well water so the amount of money we're spending on chemicals is really adding up! To anyone else going to use this company, make sure your documenting everything with pictures and witnesses.
Purchased a Dr Wellness Lifestyle Series x6 spa in approximately June 2012 .
After Approximately 4 months of using the spa I noticed water leaking from under spa.
Upon remva of side panes saw that the heater/sensor unit cracked and leaking . tried to repair with no success.
Contacted service and they sent out a new heater . Installed the new heater and started seeing error messages within a year.
Contacted Rec-Direct again and they sent another heater, installed and noticed previous unit had water in electronic compartment. Error messages appeared again several months later. Noticed top of electrical panel on heater cracked . Called Rec-Direct and they send another heater . This was a different color (Grey) as opposed to the three previous heaters that were black. I assumed they had rectified the heater problem by manufacturing the unit from a different material.
This was 3 months ago and I am getting error message again.
These heaters are made by another company I contacted, but didn't hear from them.
I will have to call Rec-Direct again tomorrow and find out where we go from here. Rec-Direct has been helpful is sending the part out so many times, but they need to rectify the issue with their supplier.
