Attended Phil Rosenberg's 2-hour free webinar entitled "Resume Secrets." Signed up for his $597.00 package that is supposed to greatly help job seekers in their search. Entered my credit card information, it got approved, and that's the last I heard from this creep. Never received the emails with the links to the information. Never received any phone numbers nor are there any phone numbers on his presentation nor on his website. Beware - no phone numbers means no intention to provide the service.
I spent the next 3 days emailing him, even found his personal email and tried that. Also emailed his webmaster. All attempts to receive the information I had paid almost $600 for were for no avail. I am now in the process of having to dispute the phony charges with my credit card company.
So, here I sit, no job, and I've just been scammed by Phil Rosenberg out of $597.00 and I am spending my time dealing with my bank to recover my money. Don't waste your time or money with this scam artist.
On 8/7/2014, I ordered a resume/career service from reCareered for $597.00 via PayPal. I had viewed an on line webinar regarding the services and was glad to know there was a 30 day money back guarantee. I listened to two sessions reviewing resumes which were very repetitive and not helpful for my needs. On 9/5/2014, I sent an email to Phil Rosenberg (President of reCareered) cancelling my subscription via email at [email protected].
To be sure that Mr. Rosenberg received my e-mail, I resent another email to Mr. Rosenberg on 9/6/2015. I wanted to confirm that Mr. Rosenberg received my request to cancel my subscription. On 9/6/2015 Mr. Rosenberg responded via e-mail stating, “I process all credits at once a month (at month end) in batch. As clearly mentioned in my welcoming email to subscribers: ‘Problems and billing questions that aren’t related to webinar access are handled in batches, not immediately- but they will be handled…’
I waited and never received a refund at the end of September or October of 2014. Since Mr. Rosenberg's email of 9/6/2015, I never received another e-mail from Mr. Rosenberg despite my monthly e-mails to him. Mr. Rosenberg has not responding to any of my future e-mails. I understand that the PayPal Resolution Center will investigate requests that are less than 45 days. However I followed Mr. Rosenberg’s instructions and waited for my refund until the end of October 2014 which brought the transaction over 45 days. It may be possible that Phil Rosenberg was aware of the PayPal 45 day window and thus had me wait for a refund that he never intended to re-pay. It is unacceptable that PayPal allows Mr. Rosenberg to use the PayPal service to defraud customers.
Mr. Rosenberg is dishonest person and everyone should be warned not to deal with him or his company. Integrity is key when searching for a new position or a new career. There is no need to seek career or resume advice from a liar and a thief such as Phil Rosenberg. Please be warned!
