I am an active duty military member living in California. I am getting out and planning on going to college in Utah (where I'm from) and living in the motorhome full time. I wanted to purchase a motorhome in advance so that my boyfriend can have it ready for my son and I when we return to Utah. I explained my situation in advance and thought that the sales person had a good understanding.
So I looked at the online inventory and found a motorhome that I was interested in purchasing. My boyfriend went to Ray Citte and we used video call to look at the motorhomes that I was interested in. We found one and I was ready to go forward with the sale. I am a very decisive person and immediately was ready to move forward. No cold feet here. So since I am in California all paperwork had to be mailed to me. I signed everything and mailed everything back and had the financing secured very early into the process. So once I signed all the paperwork, notarized it and mailed it back I ASSUMED they would be getting to work on preparing my motorhome for pickup.
Basically, my assumption was completely wrong. Ray Citte cashed my check and left the motorhome sitting out on the lot for an additional 14 days. I called to see when It would be ready to pick up only to find out that no work had even been started and the sales department had not even sent the paperwork to the service department. Essentially, I was paying for them to keep showing my motorhome to other customers.
I tried to contact the sales lady Jan, and the finance department but they were always too busy to call me back. However they did call my boyfriend, who is not the purchaser, but just assisting me in completing the sale and recieving the motorhome. So my boyfriend had to go in to get them to start on the repairs and cleaning of the motorhome. They said they would start on a Monday and it should be ready to pick up on Tuesday. At this point I'm thinking they are going to half ass the work to get it out of there. I had to specify to my boyfriend to tell them to do a quality job and that I am not going to be happy if they take a few hours when the repairs were items that would take several days. They ended up taking the whole week which was fine, but they should have started two weeks before.
So fast forward to 21 days after they recieved my check. My boyfiend goes to pick up the motorhome and sure enough they send him away without giving him the plates. I guess it's no big deal if you live near Ray Citte and have nothing better to do than go back and forth. When they told me that the plates were there I informed them my motorhome was still there and asked if they could make sure they got put on the motorhome. Of course I was foolish to assume that they would communicate within the dealership to make things easier on everyone.
I have been nothing but disappointed in the entire process and how difficult they made everything. I was nothing but easy to work with and promptly returned all paperwork. Ray Citte was only concerned with closing the sale and had no concern for me even recieving the motorhome. All in all it took over 3 weeks from signing the purchase agreement and the only reason they even got it ready is because my boyfriend had to go in there on at least 5 different occasions.
Dont waste your time with this place. They are just going to take your money and give you the run around. On top of everything they knew I was upset in the service and tried to contact them and still made no attempt of an explination or appology.
