In June of 2013, we purchased our happy, extremely healthy puppy, Harvey aka Duke. I spoke with Randy and his wife on a number of occasions prior to making my final decision. Once I made my decision, everything that Randy told me about the financial and transportation process was accurate. He sent the medication (Albon) mentioned in that very negative review. I took Harvey to my veterinarian within 2 days of receiving him. My vet felt that sending the medication as a precaution was indicative of a responsible breeder. All tests have proved Harvey to be a healthy and happy puppy. He has a marvelous temperament. We continued to correspond with Randy and keep him updated for several months. I would recommend Randy Ellison to everyone!
I haven't been to the Thompson location, but I have been to Randy's home. Everything he stated above in his rebuttal about his dogs and kennel is true. I went to his farm and personally had the opportunity to experience everything he stated above and saw first hand how he raises his puppies. They are awesome. By the time my family could decide on which puppy we wanted, we ended up taking two. Pebbles and Jack are the best!
I visited this location personally. Awesome setup and the puppies are actually raised in his house and then moved to a weaning building with indoor and outdoor kennels. Most breeders raise their puppies in a outbuilding instead of their home. Because of this, my puppy knew what a doggie doors was and never had an accident in my home. He was completely checked out by my Vet and had no heath issues. This is not a Puppy Mill.
I purchased a poodle puppy from Randy a year and a half ago. I couldn't be happier with her. She came with Albon but showed no signs of illness even though she had been flown from Texas to Missouri. She was a sweetheart from day 1 and is the smartest dog I have ever owned. I have always felt like he must have done some training on her before he shipped her because she just seems to need very little training. I even tried to get him to ship her earlier than 8 weeks and he wouldn't do it because they learn to socialize those last two weeks with the litter. He was in no hurry to get rid of the puppy even though I had already paid for her. When the deadline was nearing for me to have my vet check her out for the guarantee he followed up to make sure it was done in time. He had nothing to hide. He has stayed in contact through holiday cards and shows a genuine interest even after they are gone requesting pictures and updates. I would definitely buy another dog from Randy Ellison.
We purchased 2 sheepadoodle puppies from Randy Ellison (Old English Sheepdog, Standard poodle). They were supposed to be 8 weeks old yet these 'large breed puppies' only weighed 3 lbs and were EXTREMELY emaciated, underweight and malnourished, per our vet. (And per anyone who touched or held them).
The puppies were given a medication called Albon, they said 'for stress' when in fact it is for a parasitic diarrheal disease caused by overcrowding and unsanitary conditions. The puppies have explosive diarrhea and it is not healed by this medication, as they severely underdosed the medication.
Shame on their veterinarian, Haskell Veterinarian and Dr James Gober for writing a certificate of health for these malnourished, emaciated puppies. Apparently his greed for Mr. Ellison's business makes him overlook the true neglectful state of these puppies.
Since this purchase, we have done research and have come to find that Randy Ellison operates a huge breeding kennel with over 100 dogs that live in cages. They are fed a very poor quality, cheap adult dog food called Retriever. ADULT dog food to puppies and nursing/pregnant mothers! Selling puppies for $1000 and cutting corners; making higher profits by feeding low quality food is neglectful and greedy!!!
IN conclusion, BE WARNED.... DO NOT buy a puppy from Randy Ellison and his sheepadoodle factory in Aspermont, Texas!!! If you do, you will regret it. Yes, you will get a cute puppy. A cute, sick, emaciated puppy that you will likely have to spend hundreds of dollars on to get to a proper weight and state of health!!!
I found a beautiful Sheepadoodle online being sold by Micah whom was most likely the poster of the negative review, lucky for me I went researching before I bought the pet from this seller.
Read both what the negative poster said and Randy's reply at the URL below...
WOW......I have been to Micah location. Buyer Beware there!!! She tried to sell me one of the puppies that she actually purchased from the other breeder claiming they were hers. Talk about a Puppy Mill.....when you go to her location, make sure you go behind her six foot wooden fence......you would run!!!
Buyer Beware of Tori Greer and her daughter, Micah Dawn Thompson!!!!
I never thought I would have to defend my reputation from someone who tried to blackmail me.
I raise gorgeous, happy, and healthy Sheepadoodle and Labradoodle puppies. However, you can see by reading this report, someone is trying to make me look like some kind of monster. I assure you that is not the case.
I am licensed and regulated by the State of Texas and my farm complies with all their guidelines. I invite everyone who is interested in one of my puppies to visit my home to see firsthand that I love and take excellent care of my dogs.
This report is concerning a lady trying to blackmail me.
On May 16, 2014, I delivered “4” beautiful, healthy Sheepadoodle puppies and “2” rescued Great Pyrenees/Olde English Sheepdog mixes to Tori Greer of Weatherford, Texas. On the May 17th another lady called me on the phone claiming to be her sister complaining about only “2” of the puppies. I told her that if she was not happy with them I would take all the puppies back and refund her money in full. That is not what she wanted. She wanted me to refund her money and keep the puppies. I didn’t think that was fair so she wrote this report.
Here is my response to the false claims within the report that was filed above along with documentation:
“We purchased 2 Sheepadoodle puppies” –
They actually purchased “4” Sheepadoodle puppies (Cadbury, Bunny, Nana & Reny) and “2” half Olde English Sheepdog and half GP (Half Pint & Tiny) for their goat farm. Why would only 2 of the 6 puppies be so sick???
“Supposed to be 8 weeks old” -
I register all my puppies with American Canine Association so I have detailed records of their dates of birth and the dates they were delivered to their new families. These puppies were born on March 17th and were 8 weeks old on May 12th. The puppies were delivered to their new family on May 16th making them over 8 weeks of age at the time of delivery.
“only weighed 3 lbs” -
On May 15th , two days prior to delivery, the puppies had their final exam and received Certificates of Health from my licensed veterinarian. I have copies of the Certificates that were issued showing the weight of the Sheepadoodle puppies. They are as follows: Cadbury – 5.6 lbs, Bunny – 5.8 lbs, Nana – 4.8 lbs, and Reny 5.3 lbs. None of the puppies weighted only 3 pounds.
“Extremely emaciated, underweight, and malnourished, per our vet” –
If the puppies were in such a condition, my veterinarian would have never issued them a “Certificate of Health”. To date, they have not provided copies of any veterinarian records even though I have requested them more than once. Therefore, I have no proof that the puppies were even seen by their vet.
“Albon, they said “for stress” –
I did not tell them that Albon was for stress. Albon is for the treatment of Coccidia which is a single cell organism in the lining of the intestinal tract. All dogs have Coccidia in the lining of their intestinal tract. What causes of an outbreak of Coccidia is stress, as from moving, travel, and weather changes. Therefore, I always send Albon home with my puppies to prevent an outbreak of Coccidia. Below is exactly what they were told about Albon in their paperwork.
“Even though your puppy’s stool test was negative, I am sending 10 days of Albon with your puppy because one of his/her litter mates tested positive for Coccidia. Coccidia is very common in puppies. An outbreak is usually caused by stress. Stress for a puppy could be just competing between litter mates. However, there are three major times in a puppy’s life when they are stressed. They are weaning, loss of litter mates, and relocation. You are dealing with two of these stressful times in your puppy’s life. Albon also helps them adjust to all the changes going on in their little life.”
“overcrowding and unsanitary conditions” -
My kennels are 20 feet wide and 60 feet long with an attached 10x20 building. These kennels are cleaned daily. Therefore, the statement concerning overcrowded and unsanitary does not apply.
“explosive diarrhea” –
While in my care the puppies stool was firm with no signs of diarrhea. How it became explosive in less than 14 hours, I have no idea because I have not be provided any veterinarian records. However, during transition to a new home, loose stool or diarrhea is normal. Just changing dog food brands can cause loose stool or diarrhea. This is explained within my Transition Information which is provided to all the families that receive one of my puppies. Below is exactly what they were told about the transition period.
“Please plan on a 5-day transition period to your home. Loose stool/diarrhea is normal, so keep puppy off your carpet. Please use your crate, as this will help you get your puppy outside to begin its house training!! Puppies are not ready for housetraining until around 13 weeks of age, so monitor your puppy's routine for crating, sleeping, eating, drinking, playing, and going potty! Feel free to contact me for the explanation on how to do this, and the benefits of crate training.”
“Severely under dosed the medication” –
The dose of Albon is regulated by the weight of the dog or puppy receiving the medication. My Veterinarian researched the dose sent with the puppies against their weight on their Certificates of Health. They did not receive a severe under dose of medication. If anything, they received more than the required dose.
“Shame on their Veterinarian” –
My Veterinarian has been informed of this posting and will be contacting Tori Greer personally concerning the statements directed towards him and his practice.
“100 dogs that live in cages” -
I do not nor have I ever owned 100 dogs. At my last state inspection, I only had 28 dogs listed some of which are spayed or neutered. I do not just own the parents to my puppies but I also own their grandparents. My dogs do not live in cages. All my dogs are housed in runs that are 20x60 with an attached 10x20 building. Therefore, their total living space is a 20 feet wide by 70 feet long. One of the men that helped build my runs told me that they were bigger than his entire house. Again, my dogs do not live in cages.
“Selling puppies for $1000” –
I have never placed any of my puppies for $1000. In fact, they only paid $700 for the puppies they received.
After finding this RipeOff Report, I did some investigating of my own. Here is what I found out concerning Tori Greer and her daughter, Micah Dawn Thompson, who posted this report.
First and foremost, I found out that they did not purchase these puppies for their “goat farm”. They purchased these puppies to resale them for a profit on the Internet. I found ads for my puppies on www.ebayclassifieds.com and www.weatherford-tx.americanlisted.com/76085 under the name of Sunshine Doodles located in Fort Worth with the email address of [email protected] with the placement fee of $1,500.
I also found an ad on Adopt a Pet www.adoptapet.com under a rescue called Ark of Mercy www.agctexas.org/# listing one of the Olde English Sheepdog/GP mixed puppy, Half Pint under the name of “Isabella”. All of my puppies come with an Adoption Contract that states….. “This adoption is for the life of the puppy. This puppy cannot be resold or placed with another family without notifying the seller prior to relocation.”
Tori Greer and Micah Dawn Thompson are breeders of Sheepadoodles, Goldendoodles, and Siberian Cats but when necessary claim to be a rescue. They operate under the names of All God’s Creatures-Weatherford, Ark of Mercy, Sunshine Doodles, and Sunshine Sheepadoodles.
When they purchased the puppies, the address they provided for my records was 502 N. Main, Weatherford, TX 76086. This is actually “Box & Go Shipping”. Their real location is 611 Wells Lane, Weatherford, TX 76085. This information was provided by Paypal which is why I always use their service. Paypal protects both parties involved in a transaction. At this point, I had an Investigator visit their location under the pretense of being a home buyer for their property on www.forsalebyowner.com listing number 22208699.
The report I received from the Investigator was horrible.
The Investigator spoke with Tori Greer first who was busy packing up her home so that she could relocated to New Mexico the following day. She said that her house was sold but that her daughter’s house was still available. She claimed that her daughter ran a rescue which is why she had so many animals. When the Investigator spoke with her daughter, Micah Dawn Thompson, she was told she was a breeder and gave her a tour of the house and property. Five of my puppies were located on this property.
Behind a 6 foot wooden fence was maze of small wire cages housing cats, rabbits, parrots, chickens, and goats. Ms. Thompson told her that they were part of her breeding operation. She stated that she supported her family exclusively with the money she earned from this breeding operation.
There was a field behind the wooden fence which housed dogs of all ages. Adult dogs were running freely with puppies. It is against Texas State Rules and Regulations to allow an adult dog to be housed with puppies unless it is their mother. Four of my puppies were in this field.
In the back of the field were some wooden buildings that she said she used when she use to run a rescue. They were too far away to see if any animals were still in the pens.
There was another pen with dogs running around with ropes around their necks. Inside of a small white storage building was a White Standard Poodle with a litter of puppies in a 2x4 wire crate. The building was dirty and there was molded dog food on the floor.
There were two 5x5 kennels hidden behind some trees that housed more dogs. One of those dogs had a litter of Goldendoodle puppies. There were several dogs running freely on the property. They were covered in fleas and burrs. One of my puppies was running freely.
My Investigator was given permission by Ms. Thompson to take some pictures except for her cages in her backyard behind the 6 foot wooden fence. She did obtain pictures of my puppies and the dogs housed in the fields.
During the investigation, only 5 of the 6 puppies I placed with Tori Greer and Micah Dawn Thompson were located.
I am deeply concerned about the welfare of the animals at this location. I will be conducting my own home visit this week to check on the welfare of my puppies. Home visits are also outlined in my Adoption Contract. It reads as follows…….
I further agree to provide my puppy with the adequate food, water, and shelter. The seller has the right to visit my home no more than four times within the first 12 months of my puppy’s life to confirm that I am providing this care.
The Investigator has filed complaints against Tori Greer and Micah Dawn Thompson with the following organizations:
SPCA of Texas, Weatherford Animal Shelter, Weatherford Police Department, Weatherford Animal Control, Human Society of North Texas and Adopt a Pet.
I personally will be contacting the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulations.
After all of this, I can’t help but wonder………how many other breeders have become victims of Tori Greer and her daughter, Micah Dawn Thompson!!!!
This is my attempt at using my “Freedom of Speech”
Since rebuttal was posted on Internet several months ago, I have been contacted by 3 other breeders that have been also had issues with Tori Greer and Micah Dawn Thompson. I have had several families visit my location with the dogs that they purchased from her. They told me that the only reason they even took their dog home was because they were so flea and tick infested they didn't have the heart to leave them. I also know that all the Vets in her area have been contacted and none of the puppies listed above were ever seen by "her Vet".
Anyone can post anything they want on the Internet weather it is true or not!!!

*****BUYER BEWARE*****
This is a puppy mill who does not honor health guarantees.
Don't agree....love my puppy!!!
