The sound is only slightly better than from the TV alone, but I didn't expect Bose quality at this price.
My biggest problem is the total absence of customer service. My unit did not contain a owners manual, which I really want to make sure I'm getting full use of the unit. I think I hooked everything correctly, but I want to be sure.
Customer service does not answer phone or respond to e-mail. If they won't stand behind product, I would shop elsewhere!
BTW-- why no manual? I was told it was new; maybe it was open box! Otherwise , manual would be there! Did they charge me new price for open-box unit??
I would probably recommend this product if they stood behind it instead of disrespecting customers.
Bought 300 dollar security system as gift. Recipient could not use it Refund policy on receipt said all I need was a valid receipt and item in new condidtion so I tried to return it. Manager immediately pulled item out of box and said item serial numbers did not match box serial numbers, as though he uses this reason for refund refusal a lot. I was offered a Radio Shack gift card but did not want it. Manager flatly refused a refund back to my credit card. The refund policy on the receipt should read " serial numbers of item in box must match box" for this to be fair.
We purchased a modem from Radio Shack (only because they were the only store around that carried it).Well, it broke, so we brought it in to get a replacement.
Guess what? They no longer carry them. Ok. Fine.
We'll get our money back and order online from elsewhere. Guess what? They will give us a refund-for a store credit only! What?!
One of the reasons we don't shop there is because they have such a limited selection and their items are overpriced by others by as much as a 25% markup. Well, now here it is months later and I still can't find anything they carry that I need or want that I can't buy elsewhere cheaper. Even at Christmas-time and for a last minute gift! This is ridiculous.
I know why they do it-because they know that otherwise people won't come back. The are basically holding my money hostage to their inventory/prices.
I don't care if they are the last store on earth-I will never buy there again.Pure and Simple Fraudulent Business Practices!
I made a purchase and paid cash at Radio Shack. Before I got my change I realized they had overcharged me. When I told them I had been overcharged the cashier put my change in my hand and closed the register.
The manager went over and checked the price on the rack, after I did, and said yes the item was on sale. The cashier then told me I had to give them my phone number and address to get the money I had overpaid.
I paid in cash specifically to avoid this. My debit card had been compromised a few weeks before at Home Depot and I did not want a repeat of that pain.
When I refused to give them my personal information they refused to give me the money they had overcharged me for. The manager, after a few words, told me if I didnt like it get out of her store without the money. When I refused to leave without my money, the cashier threatened to remove me physically. I am 60 years old the cashier was mid twenties. The manager said get out or they would remove me or call the police. When I said do it, of course they did neither.
A friend shopping with me gave them an address and they gave me my money.
In my view, they got caught ripping me off and then made it as difficult as possible for me to get my money back. They threatened me physically and threatened to call the police over a few dollars they had taken from me.
I bought a 2 year warranty on a RCA 9 inch TV and was told that it was not a 2 year warrenty. The manager of the Park and Independence (Plano TX), Radio Shack store policy is, a warranty is only good till it breaks. Then there is know more warranty. Then you have to buy a new produce an a new warranty. Even if it is only a few months old. the store policy, should be until it breaks policy. I though a 2 year warranty was a 2 year warrenty not a limited warranty. What Radio Shack guarantee is limited to it first break only.
There is a problem with the RCA 9 inch TV, because it failed the same way twice in under 2 years. Which makes me think there is a problem they are trying to hide from the customer. RCA should be looking in to this, because I can not believe that I found two such out of there stock back to back. It will not scan for channel or loss of signal is the problem. The first lasted 7 months the second lased 10 or 11 months. As the purchaser of said article I believe there is a problem here, both with RCA and Radio Shack policy.

I had a update on a cell phone in 1-14 made my payment 2-14-14 by mail. RadioShack say they did not
process my check untill the the 23rd. & payment was due 2-22-14. They charged me $25.00 for late fee.
On 3-22-14 they charged me another $25.00, after I had sent them a copy of the processed check & told
them they needed to update my account. Then on 4-14 & 5-14 they added on $35.00 each. making a
total of $130.46 for a $52.99 bill(that I already paid) I spoke with them by phone in 5-14 & they said they
didn't make exceptions even for a 40 year costumer that was one day short & had never been late. Also the
check should of been processed by the 22nd., the weather was real bad in 1-14 & 2-14 & I think that had
something to do with it. I would really appreciate some help in getting at least the $93.00 back. Also I will not
be going back to that store & I will make sure my friends & family will not shop there. I will also be sending
Idaho BBB & newspaper & radio my comments. I can send a copy of my cashed check & emails.
