I backed Radiate Athletic's kickstarter campain and pledged $25 to receive the "RED-TO-WHITE Radiate Shirt - (short sleeve)" however, I never received my reward and the last communication from Radiate in was in February of 2015. They have ignored multiple phone calls, emails, comments, facebook posts, etc, etc. At this point, I just want to see Kenny Crockett and Jared Casey locked up where they belong. They had a kickstarter goal of $30,000 but ended up raising over $500,000. Considering there is evidence of them fulfilling only a small handful of their backer's orders and no proof that any shirts ordered directly through Radiate's site have been delivered, it would seem that these two have literally stolen money from their backers and consumers. It shocks me that a business can get away with stealing such a large sum of money from consumers. There has to be checks and balances in place to ensure funds earned from a Kickstarter campaign are not used for personal gain.
It would seem that is not the case. Where does half a million dollars go with no product to show for it? Doesn't that alarm anyone else? Shouldn't someone be looking into this? These guys are crooks in the worst way.
On April 3rd, 2013 I pledge $99.00 to Radiate Athletics in exchange for 3 of the t-shirts that they were going to be manufacturing. Two years and contless attempts later, the promised merchandise has not arrived, and the company continues to lie about them being on the way.
it is worth noting that they have contrated a third party company (named ASAP) to handle new order and 'customer service, but when you contact them regarding the problem with your pledge related order, you are advised that they have nothing to do with the original promises, and direct you to an emial address ([email protected]) which never replies to your request for information.
Kenny Crockett started a kickstarter campaign for Radiate athletics to provide shirts that changed color when the person wearing the clothing was working out and generating heat.
I bought a tank-top from the kickstarter project and have yet to receive my shirt or any information on when it should arrive. Delivery of goods was promised by August 2013. There have been many delays and set backs and there is always the promise that the products will be shipped within two weeks, it never happens.
Crockett funded over $500,000 and continues to accept orders but has yet to provide shirts. What has he done with the rest of the money that we can not get our orders? Is it acceptable for him to pocket that money and not meet his promises?
I would like my money back and I hope others that fell for the failed kickstarter campaign get their money back as well.
I was an original backer of this company on kickstarter. I ordered $100 worth of product. They took my money in April of 2013 and as of today I have still not received a refund or the product that was ordered. They company continues to lie on social media sites and it is one false promise after another. At this point, I just want my money back. They are still activately accepting orders on their websites. I feel sorry for anyone who gets scammed by these people. We have officially lost all hope. This was our first time backing something on Kickstater and was definitely our last.
Placed order in March of 2013. It was a kickstarter company at that time, so patience was duly exerrcised. Months passed by without any shipping update. Periodic update on Facebook made it seem like product was about to be shipped. Sent emails inquiring status and received no answer. Called and received no answer. Customer service is non existent. It is already august of 2014, and I have come to believe that I will never receive the product which I paid for. Billing was immediate; shipping eternal.
Through a Kickstarter fundraising that was funded April 2013, I ordered two shirts from Radiate Athletics. One year later I have yet to receive my shirts. Total cost 80+ au dollars. This company has been deceptive by not providing any truthful information to the 1000's of backers. Over $500,000 provided to this scam of a company. I want my money back and a lawsuit/charges filed against all people associated with this company.
This was the first and only time I contributed to a Kickstarter campaign. The product is an athletic shirt that changes color as you workout. That is what was advertised in any case. The company has received MANY complaints from people who have not received their shirt/sweatshirt. There has been some communication on their website, so I guess some of the items have been delivered. It's not like this product is going to change my life, but since I paid for it, it would be nice to finally see it. Still haven't heard anything from the company, and I truly hate the feeling of being scammed. If they can't take care of the people who funded their company, how much can that business grow? Maybe it was a scam all along?
I placed an order for two shirts with this company on April 6, 2013 and to date (9/10/2013) the shirts have not been shipped. I followed up with this company and their ""President"" Kenneth Crockett every month beginning in May as to the status of the shirts and he has done nothing but LIED about when I can expect to receive the shirts.
Each time I speak with the company they say the shirts are ""in route"" or that they've had a problem with the supplier, etc. Finally on today's date I spoke with the President of the company and told him I was going to file a dispute with PayPal since that's who they use to process their payments and he just told me ""go ahead, there's nothing PayPal can do because it's been more than 45 days since you placed the order."" I asked him for a refund and he said its ""not going to happen"" and hung up on me.
I contacted PayPal for assistance and they advise that since it's been more than 45 days since the order was placed they can not ask the company for a refund because they company will just throw the 45 policy in their face. PayPal advises this isn't the first complaint they've received on this company however their hands are tied at this point. PayPal said I should file a report with my credit card provider and then they can withdraw the funds from the sellers account.
Basically this company is still advertising online at www.radiateathletics.com and the President, Kenneth Crockett (Jr.) admits that he hasn't shipped out the product ordered and has no intention of doing so. In my opinion this company is nothing more than a ""shell"" company accepting orders online and not shipping out product. I just did a Google search on the company address 811 S. Church Ave in West Chester Pa and it comes back to a private residents.
BUYER BWARE when dealing with this company. It has been since April that I ordered 2 shirts and almost 6 months later no prooduct has been shipped according to the company President. The president of this company can be reached on his personal cell phone 484-886-7242.
On today's date I am contacting their so called ""sponsors"" and the name of the companies that have mentioned them in articles to make them aware of this company's business ethics. I am also filing a complaint with the Pennsylvania State Attorney's Office and the Better Business Bureau.
