In June 2013 I was invited by phone to a meal held in Palo Alto, CA at The Cheesecake Factory. The invitation was for those who were interested in obtaining varied, Intl, accessible timeshares and extending the value of the current points held in ownership. The concept was to generate more points (I am with SVC, not RCI) by selling unused timeshare points/weeks to various large corporations. The profit from the points sold by EPS would create revenue in which to turn around & use in a payout. For this I paid R&R Closing Services just under $8,000. I have copies of all signed agreements, cancelled checks and notes written by Mike Finch with Timeshare Enhancement & Relief Project. TERP.
The initial sell was that I would receive the refund of what I paid plus additional money (that they received having sold the points) within 6 months.
It was an investment. I followed up with Finch who said "NO it's not a scam" when questioned and had opportunity to reach him 3x before his cell phone no longer worked. Repeated phone calls to Excess Property Solutions (all names, dates, notes are recorded) told me I became eligible at 6 mos so by years end (6/2014 latest) I would receive a payout. The only immediate change that took place was getting emails from Vacation Services International who evidently held inventory. I no longer receive them.
Excess Property Solutions was to handle the reimbursement. The larger check I wrote was to RR Closing Services and the EPS check shows as a closing fee. In the first 6 months I was able to reach both businesses. EPS 1-888-441-5895 (Steve, Kyle, etc.) and RR 1-877-572-2090 (Maleah, Taylor, Sarah). 815-261-1955 is another number for a Crystal Johnson who was never available. I spoke to these folks repeatedly with promise of a check being cut.
By June 2014 the only phone success was to RR Closing where I was given feedback such as "There's nothing we can do. Money was dividied betwen 3 companies and your contract is signed with EPS. They're not responding to us either"...blah blah blah. Originally RR had a standard response of "we'll send a msg through our portal" when I couldn't get through to EPS. Well, clearly the portal is a BIG failure and I HATE BEING RIPPED OFF!!
Can we put together a lawsuit as I see there are more of us out there that were ripped off? I have written to the Attorney General in both NV (RR) & IL (EPS). They've not been much help. On that last call to RR I was referred to a John saying that BJ Cook is the head of the EPS operations and is a crook and that legal advancements were under way. And that he'd get back to me. No word. HELP!!
