I recently signed up with Quick Weight Loss Center in Jupiter, Florida. I visited the office and signed up for the program for $640. Even though the supplements are expensive and the program is thousands of dollars once you buy all of the required supplements, I still wanted to try it. I had an opened mind and the people in the center were very nice.
I started the program on December 27th. The first 4 days of the program, you begin taking their herbal appetite suppressant (hoodia), fiber, and a powdered drink mix with B12 and caffeine. You also eat protein and green veggies and one orange a day. I completed the first 4 days with a 4.5 weight loss. On day 4 I started getting a headache but did not attribute it to the program.
I visited the office on day 4 for a video presentation. The presentation explained the diet that is limited to 2 proteins, 2 starches, 4 veggies, and 3 fruits a day.
They provided a one-page list of approved foods. In addition you take 2 protein supplements a day (1 sugar and 15g protein), 2 hoodia appetite suppressants, 80 oz of water, 2 fiber supplements, fatty acid pills, and carb blocker pills. At this time they were pressuring me into purchasing a lot more supplements. I agreed to purchase a 6 week supply of the pre-packaged protein supplements for $110. I really wanted to give the program an honest try.
On day one (today) of the official diet, I followed the diet plan, but mid-morning my headache came back with a vengeance. I was also shaky, nauseous, and dizzy. At this point I felt that the program was not for me so I decided to call the center to discuss my options.
They firmly said they would not issue me a refund for the services that I have not used. I don’t mind paying for the supplements that I have used and opened, and for the week of counseling services, but I do not want to pay for the entire 24 week service. At this point I am in for $750 and have opened the following: appetite suppressant ($139), carb blocker ($90), vitamin ($17), fiber ($30), 2 boxes of shakes ($36) for a total of $282 worth of products. I have also used one day of counseling when I watched the instructional video. This program is making me feel sick and they will not issue a partial refund or allow me to return the products I have not used.
Because I paid cash I cannot dispute the charges with my credit card company (very foolish of me to pay cash.) I’m filing this report because I know that they will not refund me but I want other customers to be aware of what they are getting into. Use a credit card so you can dispute the charges if the program is wrong for you. This program is making me sick and they still will not consider issuing a partial refund for products and services that I will not use. I have a very bad impression of the company. I am going into the office on Friday (1/2) and I hope they will reconsider their position on a refund.
