I emailed the company concerning my laptop. I told them what was wrong with it and they stated in an email they would send me $64.00. I mailed the laptop to them with their box they sent me. They received it on 04/27/2015. I never heard a word from them until I called them yesterday, They said there were numerous things wrong with the laptop (It was working when sent to them) and stated they had emailed me an offer of $15.00. I never received that email. I then read the complaint on the company from Adam in PA. The company did the exact same thing to me. They are nothing but a ripoff!!!! They are total liers and deceive people. Please do not send your Computers to them.
This company offers to buy back used laptops, including broken laptops, for cash that can be paid via check or Paypal. My laptop is a Dell Vostro V13, which is quoted $180 on their website for buyback. My laptop has a broken keyboard, so the quoted price went down to $144, which I agreed with, and I shipped my laptop to them. A week later, after they received my laptop, they emailed me back saying all sorts of things like: "Your laptop has a bad keyboard and bad battery as well as a broken screen. This changes your order total to $38"! I'm pretty sure that my laptop does not have a broken screen or a bad battery. Everything was working fine except a broken keyboard.
In fact, I decided to sell it after 2 years of using it ONLY because of a broken keyboard. I told them it had a "broken keyboard" before I sent the laptop out to them, too, so it's not like it was new to them. The quoted value was $144. And YET they invented all sorts of things to pay me only 26% of the promised price! This is FRAUD! I emailed them back saying that if they claimed my laptop had a broken screen then they should show me pictures of where the broken screen is, and they NEVER reply me, or in other words, they could not prove that my laptop was broken! The next day, I emailed asking if they could return my laptop, and they play silence for a week without getting back to me!
Finally, only when I told them that if they didn't reply to me, I would report to the police, they replied me very fast saying that they would return my laptop IF I pay them $35! Why should I pay $35 for nothing and even if later I decide to sell my laptop to someone else, losing $35 to QuickLaptopCash would devalue the profit I'd get from next-time sale. Plus, I knew that if I did not agree to their rip-off deal, they would keep/hold my laptop for another long time (weeks) of silence - in other words, they would never return the laptop to me! Dealing with them was very stressful enough - they intentionally make the process stressful so that they could have a leverage over you and force you to accept their rip-off deal:
They claimed your laptop was broken but could not even provide evidence to prove it! And if you don't agree to basically give your laptop to them for rip-off price, they will play the silent game with the intention to keep your laptop forever; if you don't warn them that you will report them to the police, they would literally steal your laptop! This is professional con-artist! This is not even a "company" - it seems like there's only one person running the "company". Furthermore, the person communicating withme was extremely rude, and they never picked up their phone! Even if they returned my laptop, I would not trust that they would return my laptop in its original condition, either. This business should NOT be allowed to deceive people out there any more!
Classic bait and switch! These people offered me $35 for my ASUS mini netbook laptop that had a bad hard drive. I didn't have any use for it anymore and was told that I could buy a new one for the cost of a new hard drive for it so I accepted their offer. They provided a pre-paid shipping label for UPS. I dropped it off at UPS and a couple days later got an email saying they had recieved my package and would email me when my payment was sent out. About 4 days later I get an email saying that my computer was too old for them to take (it was only 4 years old) so they could send it back or recycle it for me. I said ok whatever just send it back. They told me that I had to pay $35 for shipping to get it back! $35 FOR SHIPPING?! That's outrageous. I got online and looked up a quote from UPS and USPS. UPS was $16, USPS was $11.30. I emailed them back and told them I would be more than willing to pay for shipping but not $35 when the most it cost was $16. I even provided them with pictures of the quotes. They said that they had to pre-pay shipping so I needed to re-imburse them for that! So I said ok send it back to me USPS and I'll give you $22.60 to re-imburse you and pay for the shipping back. They stated that they didnt use USPS because they dont take care of their packages. I asked them what it mattered to them since they said it was broken and useless anyway. I got a very sarcastic and rude email saying that I lied about the condition it was in and how old it was so they were gonna keep it unless I gave them $35. I offered to provide proof of age and condition prior to mailing it out. I recieved another email calling me a liar (among many other things) and was told that if I didn't like it then oh well it was my loss. So now I cant get my laptop back without paying $35 and I'm convinced that even if I were to pay it I still wouldnt get it back.
These people are completely unprofessional and so rude! If I could go back I would just donate or thrown it away rather than go through all of this. This company just wants free products/money for nothing. STAY AWAY unless you like to be scammed.
These guys are as unscupulous as the negative reviews written about them. They recently quoted a price to me for an HP laptop that I sent. After receiveing it, they said their testing produced occasional blue screens and would only pay a drastically reduced price.
It never blue screened on me, EVER. I am fairly confident that this is common practice for these guys.
I will never use quicklaptopcash for anything ever again, except to tell as many as I can not to use them.
