I was trying to find a part for my Cadillac SRX that no one had. I put an add of one of those sites that says hundreds of dealers will see your request. Quality called me. I described the part in great detail including the vin number, part number and even the measurements of the part. I was assured by Ben that they had the exact part. I asked him where the part was coming from and he told me that they had many warehouses and he was not sure which one would be shipping it.
That was on a Friday. I was promised the part by Tuesday of the next week. Tuesday - Wednesday- Thursday and still no part. It finally came on Friday afternoon. They had my specifications right on the invoice, but the part matched nothing that I had requested.
I immediately called their toll free number and was transferred to Lucas in shipping. I told him what had happened, and that they sent the wrong part. I also told him I would not pay return shipping or return stocking since this was their fault. he e-mailed me a return slip - which indicated that I had to pay shipping before I could get my refund.
So I called them back and this time spoke to Phillip. He said that he will be getting with a supervisor and call me back on Monday, and that they would arrange for a ticket and to have the part picked up by Fed-Ex. Today is Friday and I have to wait until Monday to start this process.
I had ordered a part from them several months ago. It arrived quickly and was the wrong one. I promptly returned it with a ticket that was provided to me immediately. But it took nine phone calls and six weeks to get a refund.
This company uses many different sites and names, but the phone numbers are the same. They don't care if you get what you ordered or not as long as they get your money. Also I have yet to speak with an American when I call.
I was looking for an engine block for my 4X4 using a parts locater to serch for my hard to find parts. I received an email from Quality Auto Parts located in Chicago, IL. They stating they had my engine in stock and it would be $1,540 and that encluded shipping to my front door. I told them I had several other leads to check out first hoping they had just an engine block. After exhausting all my leads and was unable to find the right engine block, I then called Quality Auto parts back and to set up the purchase of a long block.
During the purchase the salesman went over the sale information several times explaining exacelly what I was getting and I agreded and with the price of $1,450 plus a $3.99 process fee. I also purchased an heater blower motor for $135.00 for a grand total of $1,588.99 to be charged on my Visa card. The salesman stated it will be priocessed within 48 hours. About 3 days later I get a call that they forgot to charge me a core charge for the motor, and how instead of a price of $1,588.99, there will be an additional $700 added for a total of $2,288.99.
It was at this time I knew something wasn't right, specially when he said that this was his last '77 engine not the 1978 engine we privesilly talked about. Now instead of the 78', he now has a '77 instead. I wish I had read the Fraud Report first before I even got involved with these people.
I have come to the conclusion that these people are not truthful. Do NOT do business with this company, or you will be writing this report yourself.
Quality auto parts is not a realy company.. THEY ARE NOT AN AUTO WRECKING COMPANY... If you need used auto parts then contact a local company.. Just google used auto parts in your area.. I just found out they purchased a sunroof for $75 and sold it to a little old man for $300 that is a rip off. THEY ARE SITTING HOME IN THERE UNDERWEAR SELLING OTHER PEOPLES PARTS FOR A HUGE PROFIT AND YOU THE CONSUMER KNOWS NOTHING....Trust only the company that you can walk into there office....NEVER TRUST USED AUTO PARTS THAT YOU CANT SHAKE SOMEONES HAND THAT IS SELLING YOU THE PART !!!
I signed up for a location service to find a paticular part. I have search far and wide and have not been able to fine this
particular part.
The location service suggested this web site and I called and low and beholed thay had the part. I asked for a photo or two of the part to insure that it was the part I was looking for and that it was in good shape.
Thay told me that I had to give them a CC number before they could process the order. At first They listed PayPal as a source for payment. I have have worked with PP in the past and had very good service from them so I choose to use them. However when I tried to pay them through PayPal, PP would not process there payment. That should have raised some red flags. I have experience this before so I thought that they we not yet cleared with PP or some other reason.
I then desided I would use my CC and process the order through the them. Quaiity Auto took my order and agreed to send me photos be for they would expect payment if I agreed to the quality of the part in question. To date no photo has ever been forwarded to me. I got promises but no action from them on the photos. I called my CC company and intormed them not to except any payment requests for this Quality Auto Parts, My gut tells me that they are a ripoff. and and shipping would like to have been done without seeing the part.
SHAME ON QUALITY AUTO PARTS THEY ARE A RIP OFF AND PLEASE DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE BUMBS THAY ONLY WANT YOUR MONY AND WITH NOT DO THE RIGHT THING.
Thanks for taking the time to read this and I hope enough people wil help shut them down.
