Be aware of Qualia Market Research. This company is a scam.
I was recruited by Qualia Market research to participate in a market research and they promised me $300 for 1 hr of my time. I spoke with Lia Pasternack and she setup the interview with the company. It's been almost 2 months since the interview however I have not received my honorarium. I send few emails and I have not heard back. I called the number I have for Qualia Research and that number is not accepting any voicemails.
I searched on Internet and found out that few other people have been scammed as well. Qualia recruits busy health care professionals to participate to speak with companies that are doing market research. Qualia promises a descent honarium for healthcare professionals to participate in such market research. They collect the money from the company that is sponsoring market research and they pocket all the money without paying anything to the professionals who participated in the study.
Be aware and stay away from Qualia Market Research or Lia Pasternack. She also refers herself as Lisa Nack.
This company preys on professionals. They get your email and then ask to interview you about a professional topic eg nursing, medicine, sales, consumers products, medication, HMOs etc. They offer to pay you very well for a 45 minute to 1hour interview by phone. They then call and ask many questions picking your brains about how an industry works, what are the most popular products, what treatments do you use, what medications do you prescribe , Who do you see as major competitors, why you like or dont like a product etc.
Then you never hear from them again. Lia Pasternack is the woman behind this outfit. She does not reply to repeated emails, stops taking phone calls, does not return messages and does not pay as promised.
This is unsusual because they prey on experts or professionals. I suspect they do have a real high paying client who is doing market research, oppositionn research etc. The topics are fairly specific. I think Pasternack gets these high paying customers, gets you as the expert to provide answers, sells answers to her client for a high price and then she rips you off by not paying you. Her clients most likely think she is a legitimate research firm with access to many experts.

Qualia Market Research Services under the direction of Lia Pasternack and the aid of Rich Pasternack, continue to recruit
physicians such as myself to be interviewed on medications, in my case for Major Depression. They call you and ask a large
number of questions pertaining to the medicines usded in the treatment of the disorder. Then, as described by a previous
person authoring a report on them, they refuse to talk to you again. They do not return phone calls, emails or other forms
of messages.
Worse then this, the "Honorarium", the money you have been promised for your time is gone. They make up bank
account slips showing the money was sent to you but never arrived, even tho it was three months later. When they finally talk
to you they are cordial but insist "the check is in the mail" but of coure, you never receive it.
If you speak to them on the phone, and this is a really lucky occasion, they are very cordial, making you feel that you
are to blame for not having waited long enough or are just too stup (as a physician) to realize that they are telling the
truth and you are wrong. They talk in circles to you. They give you "tracking information" from their bank, really a
credit union, but do not really give you Fedex, or USP, or USPS tracking numbers. They make up the rest.
The bottom line is that they make money by using professionals, physicians, to give their opinions but never pay them.
The profits of course, go to Lia and Rich Pasternack. An it all seems legitimate to begin with.
It is impossible to convey to you how frustrating it is for a doctor to be taken advantage of and yet feel helpless as
to know how to deal with it. You can excuse a patient if he or she is too poor to pay you, but you are frustrated
when you know someone can pay you for your opinion but simply refuses!
